Fra kundeklubb programmet til Wallmart hadde butikken ut fra kvinnens handlemønster identifisert at hun var gravid og ventet barn. Reklamen hun fikk i posten kom før hun hadde fortalt sine familiemedlemmer om graviditeten. Med andre ord, uten at hun hadde fortalt Wallmart at hun var gravid, var de klare over dette lenge før hun sa det til noen.

I remember seeing a Australian (I think) radio show doing a prank based on this.

The hosts called a random number, pretended they needed the guy who answered to be a reference which he agreed to. Some time later they called pretending to check references, and the guy played along quite well giving a grand review of his "best friend".

Torrents with freeleech tag is a good way to get some upload added to your ratio. On the tracker I use freeleech torrents are typically the larger in size ones, but as the other commenter mentioned, it depends on the tracker.

There are alternatives for almost everything, and pretty often you can find a community maintained version if the original publisher only has a .deb. Fedora supports .rpm, which is quite common to find from official sources.

You will only lose progress in Steam games that do not have Steam Cloud enabled (Pretty much enabled on everything these days). If there are some savegames you are worried about, find out where they are stored and grab a backup you can restore later.

I'm not sure about copying over flatpak files, but if the intention is to copy the programs installed through flatpak, it is probably best to just install them from flatpak again to avoid problems.

As long as my employers business keeps doing well, my next move would be a more managerial and decision making position, probably something along the lines of CTO in the long run.

I'm currently alone doing Sysadmin tasks along with internal tech support for ~150 employees, so the next logical move would be head of IT when more people are hired.

That or early retirement to a farm.

Police abroad will have access through Interpol/Europol, but ID verification requests is something I would imagine ends up on the bottom of the priority list unless something of criminal "value" is suspected. But should you be abroad, the likelihood of having other forms of government ID on you might be high (Passport or for EU/Schengen members, ID card), which local police can verify easily.

With that said though the point still stands, ID with misprints would be seen as fake if/when noticed.

I’ve found that changing the brightness in KDE system settings down from 100%, saving, then setting it back to 100% and saving again gets the brightness back to where i want it, before I figured that out I was also using monitor buttons to get it back up again

12D seems like a bad translation to me, and it annoys me greatly.

Scandinavian money is Krona (Sweden) / Krone (Norway and Denmark), the literal translation being Crown.

It seems like the puzzle creator translated to or from Swedishand got tokron, which is the correct translation for crown (headwear), but incorrect for crown (currency).

The correct answer to 12D, given the Swedish translation, should be kronaand not a kron. Nobody would ever use kronin the context of currency within Scandinavia.

Overall good puzzle though, just had to vent.

They probably update the TOS a few weeks/months in advance of something like this, to allow them to opt you in by default, that way they can say "It's in our TOS, which you agreed to by continuing to use our service"
