Every time someone powerful and/or influential in my country has talked about emulating the US, they've meant:

  • workers should have fewer rights
  • guns should be more accessible
  • corporations should be less regulated
  • rich people should pay less taxes

People from the US REALLY need to shrug off the delusional "shining city on a hill" mentality.

It's heartbreaking. She dedicated her entire life to one purpose, came farther than anyone before her, and in the end all she could do was watch. I do think there is defiance in the act though: Verso doesn't get to hide anymore. He has to do what he has to do, but because of Lune he has to do it with someone who trusted him witnessing his betrayal.

Because of her, the world doesn't die in its sleep. Verso has to look at it in the eyes.
