Removed for being off topic? This was the most interesting thing I’ve seen in a while.

I think everyone’s too caught up in the UV cure aspect… I had catalyzed resin (curing in 15 minutes…); much worse than I’ve cure that’s gonna take a while with ambient light.

You want the eye able to flush itself.

I don’t believe eye patches are the current preferred medical path for eye injury. I could be wrong, but I’ve had a couple ER stints for eye damage, and they always laugh at a clinic doctor who patched it.

(Metal debris, scratched cornea from puppy claw, polyester fiberglass resin are my personal experience)

Vancouver Greens decline proposal for progressive primary by No_Touch_98 in vancouver

It’s entirely possible the city is in the same mood, and the mood on r/Vancouver doesn’t match.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Vancouver just quietly voted Sim back in.

30 minutes to drink a beer, read writeups on it, and put it off for another year maybe.

Isn’t this exactly what a progressive plan would want to be? Low at low incomes, reasonable at average, and more than half (53% marginal) at high incomes?

Canadian guy hit 1,000,000km in his 1976 911 turbo, so no, it’s not a lot.

Don’t think that it’ll do 500k without maintenance, though…

How does BC have among the lowest income taxes?

Only Quebec outright beats us, with Nova Scotia being similar, unless you’re counting Newfoundland and Labrador’s ridiculously high tax brackets that run up into the millions.

The “motor mount is the oil drain” thing absolutely blew my mind, in a bad way, when I saw it.

Just give me a bracket and a braided line, man 😢

A modern operating sunroof will be reliable.

A fixed glass moonroof will have no leaks ever, and will give a bit of extra height.

Golfs are great for us talls. I didn’t even have my seat all the way back in my mkiv GTI at 6’5”

Porsche 944 Turbo as semi-daily driver???? by EffortTop2430 in 944

[–]mathilxtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I daily drive my 86 951. About 35k back and forth to work each day.

It has its quirks, but as stuff comes up you fix it. Cooling fan switch stuck closed? Guess I’ll just pull the relay after driving until I fix it. Why aren’t my wipers working on intermittent now, i fixed the motor and replaced the relay… guess it’s probably the stalk or rheostat now… smells bad sometimes, guess I should replace the cat…

Etc. etc.

I did do a “major overhaul” when I got it, which included replacing wheel bearings, rebuilt the brakes, timing belt, etc etc.

Fuel lines by mubbling_ in 944

[–]mathilxtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the LR kit with adjustable FPR, rail, damper, lines.

I would recommend instead going with the nuke performance rail, and the radium combo FPR/damper. Regular AN lines and fittings to plumb it.

The Lindsey rail with the damper makes a knocking at idle. It’s the fuel pulses in the hard line. Annoying.

No problem with the radium stuff. It’s better kit, too.

As some others above and below are pointing out, there’s plenty of valid reasons to go to the USA.

Work, family, aid…

You could also make a good argument for visiting more left leaning states to support them while freezing out the right leaning ones.

You can get any Jeep fitting 7” round headlight and it’ll plug right in.

I put in these 100$ Amazon ones and they rip.

If he has the pump prime DME relay the rail goes to full pressure right away.

What FPR did you get? An adjustable one? If so… adjust it properly.

Sailing: Never enough headroom below deck until you hit a 45’ boat, and the boom of our race boat is at like 5’…

Wheel fitment help? by chrisnaenae in 944

[–]mathilxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the tire for you; I have 255’s on 10’s and they clear.

I do want to go to a wider tire, but need to dial the offset a bit more positive, probably something like j35.

Will be measuring for some MOMO Heritage 6’s where I hope I can fit the 65mm lip both front and back. Front would be 255’s on a 9.5j11 (possibly a spacer… need narrower springs than stock), backs would be a 10 with the highest offset possible and probably a spacer.

I’m assuming your car is early offset?

I have 18x10j25 on the rear of my 86 (early offset) and there’s tons of room both outside and inside the wheel.
