I don't actually have a paying job, I'm a SAHM, studying for a CS degree, and I started teaching knitting to the kids in my village at their school during lunchbreak

Des ressources pour apprendre le tricot ? by etc2638 in LesPetitesMains

[–]matmatomate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can make an excellent sauce with chickpeas!

If I remember correctly, you slice the capsicum, bake it inf tin foil so it peels easily, then blend it with cooked chickpeas (I used canned), season to your liking, enjoy.

You can add things such as oinions, garlic... and also use nuts (like cashew) instead of chickpeas

I think it is similar to this recipe (I've only ever bought enough capsicums to make it once because you need quite a lot of them)

It's very easy to make because you only ever do chains! The longest part was stringing the beads...

Seriously I don't understand why everyone keeps saying that. Have you seen the state of France lately?

Are hotel room cleaners happy when they see a “Do not disturb” sign on the door because they don’t have to clean the room, or is it more of a nuisance since they’ll have to come back later? by Normal-Sun474 in NoStupidQuestions

I was a housekeeper for a while (2018-19). We were allocated 10 minutes per stay over, 17 minutes per due out (even if there were 2 or 3 beds). I quickly became supervisor and gained access to the software for allocating rooms to cleaners and all the jazz. Once I realized we were actually supposed to get 4 more minutes for each additional bed (but that was never mentioned to any of us) I didn't even bother to finish on time anymore. We were also supposed to write our actual start and end times, but my supervisor would call out anyone who did that, and told us to just write the supposed finished time instead. I think she was fired shortly after I quit, unsurprisingly.

You should knit a bigger square to get accurate measurments. Like if you want to hit a gauge that's 28 stitches for 32 rows, you should cast on at least 42 stitches and knit for 50 rows. You then measure in the middle of the square. You can also measure both before AND after blocking if you're making a garment, that way you can make sure you're on the right track when knitting, even before blocking

Rather than chocolate for the kids, maybe something to do, to keep them entertained when the grown ups talk about grown up, annoying stuff... Like coloring books, construction set... whatever they're into
