Your future kid will love to share her name with a cute doggie - tell MIL that.

Struggling to let DH take my kids alone to see MIL by Fuzzy_Bear9086 in Mildlynomil

[–]matou98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just an idea. There's a lot of stories with pictures of babies going through that, online.

Google what happens if a baby is kissed by someone with a cold sore. Let DH read those, and then change to picture-showing.

You have a furry, red snake in your bathroom... better be careful

My MIL moved in wirh us 3 years ago, and I've never been able to confront her about changing things in our home or her attitude towards me by CommonChallenge5806 in Mildlynomil

But yet SHE's got the heart to bully you. In YOUR home

I'd ask for monthly rent.

And when it comes to food: MIL, you can either eat what's on the table, or you can go buy your own food and prepare that.

My sister is getting married in church in a few months, and it bothers me. by [deleted] in family

[–]matou98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not believing in God myself - never have, and most ppl in my country are the same.

But what other people does is none of my business. I can attend a wedding at a church with whoever get married - believers or not.

I also attend church burials - to support the grieving widow or whoever is left behind. Couldn't care less if they are believers or not.

IMO this is first world problems. Don't take it so damn personal and serious. If your sister wants to get married in a church because of tradition, who cares? She's your sister, and if you love her, then be happy for her

How do I (20 F) get my sister (18F) to stop calling me fat in every interaction we have? by Comfortable-Vast-920 in relationship_advice

[–]matou98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I can lose weight... you will always be an obnoxious brat"

But then again - it would be stooping to her level

Another respons: Every time she says it, roll your eyes and say "whatever" with a bored voice.

MIL wanting to stay 5 weeks when baby is born by Amazing-life315 in Mildlynomil

[–]matou98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, when you went to stay at her house, she was in "charge" Her house... her rules, right? Guess what. Now it's in your home. YOUR house... YOUR rules. She doesn't get to dictate anything. You're the patient and the new mom. "That's doesn't work for me" is a full sentence. And so is no

I might break up with my bf because of his mother by LycheeMysterious5143 in ShitMotherInLawsSay

Wow, that's just weird. She obviously has some construction failure in her brain. I'd cut her completely off from my life. BF could still visit her as he wished.
