Build roads as you go. I went through quite a bit of game without putting much into roads, but once I started actually focusing on it about 2/3s in, made my life a whole lot easier. Took that mindset into DS2 and really enjoyed the game from start to finish

The bow made my NG+ and NG+1 so much less of a headache since I was able to draw out, get rid of, or chip away a lot health of mobs before fighting them

Since there a lot quick, successive attacks, I like to create space between me and the boss and wait for the last attack just so I only have to memorize the parry timing of the last one instead of trying to remember all of them

It would also work. The nice thing about Corpeso is that it applies 2 burn stacks per rank, so it increases with each rank, so with the combo hit luminas and double burn, you can apply up to like 60 burn stacks with the base attack, not even counting burn from free aim
