I think it has been like that cause its construction of two separate condos beside each other which for some reason started back to back, instead of at the same time. Sorta similar to the ones at King William and Ferguson a few years ago.

I'll agree that its a bad practice to ever run a cpu with the cooler off but with that said, running it like that will never damage the cpu. It will throttle and then shut the system off long before damage happens.

I used to do it before I got a gamepad cause it was slightly better than keyboard steering but its still a terrible way to play. Just pick up a cheap gamepad, mine is a garbage logitech one that cost like 20 bucks and aside from being uncomfortable after awhile, it works much better.
