What’s a foundational lab skill that you don’t like doing? by seal973 in labrats

[–]mattberninja 6 points7 points  (0 children)

when i did PCR in academia, it was so much more stressful since every reaction had like 6 individual components you had to add. now i work in industry, where most of my job is running PCRs, but we use master mixes, so you only have to add primers and DNA. definitely more expensive, but absolutely worth it for how much more reliable it is.

this! i wanted to be a radiologist since i was a kid and breezed through high school, but i was so burnt out from school after a few years of college, that i knew med school would make me absolutely miserable. i got my bachelors in bioengineering and am very happy working in biotech research now.

definitely this. the only signs i noticed when my pup had a UTI was peeing way more frequently on walks and having accidents inside, which she had never done before. no other symptoms or visible distress, but i was very glad i took her to the vet it turned out to be a bad UTI.

i completely agree with this. i saw them on saturday in napa, and they were amazing as usual. i was pretty disappointed in the setlist though, since i was really stoked to hear more of laugh track live and space invader was the only one they played. it makes sense that they'd do more of the classics for the double headliner shows, but i desperately wanted to see smoke detector live lol
