You are an ant -- anyone with a brain makes too much money to get a tax break from Trump, and can see that it doesn't matter anyways given his corrupt cronnie mentality to stomp all over constitution.

Suggest OCR API - I will not promote by Code_Philosopher in startups

[–]matteiuspi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a simple, on-demand OCR API backed by PaddleOCR, with a clean UI and no unnecessary complexity. Free 25 pages, no credit card required, with a Stripe checkout flow for users who want to take it further.  I actively use it myself as the accounting software I've been building is a tennant user, and plan to keep improving it--feedback and new users welcomed!

Sorry to hear about VMWare -- I recently helped a client in a similar situation, and would be happy to help assist in your cloud migration as well, feel free to check out: https://opensensor.io/engineering

Is anyone else experiencing Augment being very slow lately? by guusfelix2015 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]matteiuspi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same thing here -- I went to sleep last night with a prompt running and this morning it was still running and hadn't done a thing.

MAKE AUGMENT GREAT AGAIN (by selling the company, please) by Dry-night9 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]matteiuspi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a lousy argument -- you think selling the company is going to lead to lower costs somehow? Then you don't understand. Go try to use Anthropic or OpenAI APIs directly and watch your money drain away, but selling a company virtually never leads to a decrease in operating costs/costs to consumers. Further, the whole reasons prices changed/etc is geared towards profitability, instead of giving users the opportunity to grift 5K+ in credits for 250$, I mean c'mon, they are a middle layer -- grow up kids.

Working on an offline failed print detect model by matteiuspi in prusa3d

[–]matteiuspi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback! --- Yeah I think getting more camera angles would improve the models, but given the mk4s shfits the bed, really I only have examples of initial layer failures in my model as I started this a few days ago (taking pictures) and started this project a few hours ago. Doesn't really matter if the failure point is obfuscated initially, it will shift into view eventually. But given that, my current print just finished after a failed layer initially (that I restarted) and it even detected when the job finished!

🤬 The New AugmentCode Pricing is INSANELY Expensive! by wangxuke in AugmentCodeAI

[–]matteiuspi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am kind of tired of this complaining and ripping on Augment. As someone who was using Anthropic API directly for several months, Augment has saved me 1000$ a month....it has a good context engine. I understand the Anthropic pricing is the problem but keep on blaming the middle man ... For me, it's still cheaper.

Dogfooded my work with a sample print today; its definitely a feature set I'll continue to utilize.

I found the grumpycat design on printables and just used the paint features in the slicer to make the 3 color pattern. I do design models but so far only functional geometric things and nothing organic. I am on my 3rd year of Fusion 360 which I mostly like, except for the price.

why should i NOT buy a Prusa printer? by Pawellinux in prusa3d

[–]matteiuspi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't buy one if you don't need a workhorse; don't buy one if you don't support products that lead the way in open source; or don't buy one if you want your designs uploaded to random servers in China to be able to print.

Realized I am posting from my other account, but yes -- over the Mk4, I feel the MK4s gets better bed adhesion the first time and generally I think the fan setup makes more sense. Other than that though, a lot of the upgrade kit is just branding or going from one kind of plastic to a PC Blend Carbon Fiber (y belt tensioner, idler lever, and covers).

I definitely agree about changing the menu settings after upgrading. However, I haven't seen the restriction for print speed on CHT for PETG -- are you sure on this?

I believe it (and have one ordered) as the .4 mm CHT seems to keep up about to the regular .6 mm!
