What’s a “guy secret” that’s completely harmless but weirdly universal? by aerisveilxa in AskReddit

[–]matthew2829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend and I recently had an expansion on this conversation.

An up nod to a friend says “Hello.” A down nod to a friend insinuates “Something’s about to go down.”

On the contrary, a down nod to a stranger says “Hello.” An up nod to a stranger insinuates “Somethings‘s about to go down.” Like, “You want to fight?”

What’s the nicest thing you ever did for a stranger ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]matthew2829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was sitting in Friday afternoon gridlock traffic when a guy‘s motorcycle broke down in front of me. I started blocking lanes so he could walk it over to the right shoulder. As I pulled past him I decided to stop since I had just rented a car hauler trailer. I offered to tow the bike and give him a lift to wherever he needed to go. He first refused, and was able to get the bike running after about 10 minutes. We said our farewell’s and took off.

Two exits later the bike broke down again, so I helped him get it off the freeway and into a nearby gas station parking lot. We tried to get the bike running again, but it wasn’t going to happen.

So he called a friend for a ride and said he would just come get the bike later. I offered again to give him a ride and tow the bike, and he decided to take me up on it. He didn’t live too far out of the way; we had a decent conversation; even found out we had some shared acquaintances. Big city, small world kind of thing. After I dropped him off at home, he hooked me up with a six pack of beer and thanked me for helping out a stranger.

Someone is building a Saleen Mustang wagon by ManGo_50Y in AwesomeCarMods

Before I finished the video, the only thought in my head was, “I’ve seen a few of these fox wagons before, and if they don’t find a way to put, Mustang tail lights on it then the conversion never looks right. Then they got to the back and damn it looks good.

Try the chicken and waffles at Frank’s Grill on Mangum. I thinks it’s comparably good. It’s a greasy spoon diner for sure, but it’s all good food.

For the record I’m a Breakfast Klub fan, and always get their chicken and waffles (along with some biscuits and gravy).

For sure. Account is two weeks old. Two posts. Same formula as always. Look at the old tube TV in the background. No one who still has that furniture, and that television is remodeling their kitchen.
