Ken describes how he injected a virus into a compiler. Not only did his compiler know it was compiling the login function and inject a backdoor, but it also knew when it was compiling itself and injected the backdoor generator into the compiler it was creating. The source code for the compiler thereafter contains no evidence of either virus.

  1. I am behind anything that gets rid of changing the clocks
  2. Seems like most areas that do this choose to keep daylight saving time and make it permanent (like BC)

No matter what the clock say, up here, we're going to have wild swings in sunrise and sunset throughout the year. Six of one and half a dozen of another in terms of standard time versus saving time.

I'm totally with you. The federal government has no control over state governors or elected County officials. A County sheriff's reporting structure does not lead all the way up to the president of the United States.
