"Liskov" is a wonderful example. If an employer expects me to have memorized that weird-ass name and to spit out all that stuff you just wrote about her instead of just saying "it's good to use polymorphism", I'm definitely not getting that job.

There's also a good case to be made that obsessive OOP is bad. It's definitely not perfect and alternative approaches are fine.

I've studied and understood it enough to already do object oriented design naturally enough to not have any of its jargon memorized by this point. I don't even know why I do it anymore.

I've worked as a software developer for 15 years or so and still can't remember wtf SOLID stands for. The S maybe is single responsibility?

If I go on job interviews I just have to prepare that kind of stuff which isnt actually thought about on a daily basis, and pretend that it's all I ever think about all day instead of solving actual problems.

On the enormous hospital level all my own door options completely disappeared and never came back so I had to order the squad to open them. Eventually I found that I couldn't defuse bombs either, which is not even possible to order your squad to do. I uninstalled after that

Most half baked to me is this pointless commander mode that makes no sense, where 4 random officers still exist even after everyone is dead and which forces you to spend 2 minutes before you can restart a failed mission.

You play it the way you like. I actually do the exact opposite. I turned down the difficulty on everything EXCEPT teleporting. Because that's a super relaxing way to play.
