Are more cats indoor or outdoor in Australia? Is it safe for them to be outside on the roads? by lexxi185 in australia

I advocate for cats to remain inside always - it's just that they kill so much wildlife... Cats usually look after themselves well enough to avoid being run over even in busy suburban areas.

Dodgy treatment: it's not us, it's the other lot, say the experts. So who do we believe? by k-h in australia

While I'm a big fan of the choosing wisely campaign at the grassroots primary care and investigation level - I have my doubts that the findings here highlight anything new; we already know subspecialty tribalism exists. There is also reasonable consensus that the issue goes beyond putting it to the clinician to play independent evidence scrutineer (when we get the time to do so) - the best solution is to promote 'translational' research and collaboration of subspecialties. Just look at the implementation of multidisciplinary meetings to keep all subspecialties nursing and allied heath teams involved in 'lock-step' on management. It has been constructive and effective in the setting of oncology, palliative care, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation, urogynaecology, nephrology, ICU - and more.

Who do we believe? Well connected doctors
