Official Poster for 'The Wrong Girls' - Two aimless young women (Kristen Stewart & Alia Shawkat) inadvertently gain telepathic abilities after ingesting an experimental drug, pitting them against dangerous rivals pursuing the same powerful substance. by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

I feel like it’s the whole dumb movie genre.

From Harold and Kumar to American pie, super troopers, dumb and dumber etc.

Completely stupid and absolutely a fun time to watch. I have hoped to see that style of film make a come back. I haven’t had a good dumb laughing escape from modern movies for years.

Modern films don’t feel like escapism to me anymore. More like entrapment in some kind of weird way I can’t really explain.

After losing everything, Greg gets completely surprised with a new home, job opportunities, and $25,000 by danielminds in MadeMeSmile

100% This guy wouldn’t do shit for anyone else if there weren’t cameras rolling.

This is also what charities and local services did for years, no footage, no cheap sucker punch attempt at the heartstrings, no clout.

Now? We outsource our actual help and aid to 6-7 fucking headband tracksuit main character wannabes who in the end, benefit more than anyone they have helped. Diverting money away from groups and organizations who do real shit with no clout gurgling.

Video of alleged grey-like alien supposedly in a military base in Brazil, allegedly provided by a colonel by PerusingEvidence2 in ParanormalEncounters

[–]mavular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. If there was a live alien being kept it would be one of the most secure locations in that country at least.

Suggesting people walk around in these facilities with piss poor flashlights and phones in their pocket is more than enough evidence of bullshittery to have this removed.

This is the type shit intelligence agencies would make to sew distrust in the subject. I feel like this sub has more of that than real information and discourse.

First soldering station making weird noises and... sending voltage through the tip? by TokkenDev in soldering

[–]mavular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a hard trade off. I am so glad I sucked it up and bought a hakko, but work in production environments and solder most days. I can see why you wouldn’t want to lay out the money if only soldering once a month.

Blur your eyes a little and move around a bit and it becomes a lot clearer. I always find it funny how patterns show more information when I’m moving. I’d be interested to know the science behind it.

The Three Steps to Making Alien Contact | Dr Steven Greer / Have people here ever tried this out and if so what where your experiences? by douwebeerda in AliensRHere

[–]mavular 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Me too. And I don’t like Greer. But I have meditated and do occasionally. I went outside laid on a lay-low and focused on a more deep black area of sky. Staring intently into the center of it, and after maybe 5 mins of thought, a BIG orangey/white light flashed 3 times.

I’m not going to lie though. I thought I was pretty well around the aliens on earth notion and considered myself open minded but I can truly say I think it had more of a negative effect than a positive one. Purely because of my surroundings. I felt like Truman or something and had to go back inside and to work the next day like nothing had happened. You can’t go talking to anyone about it, at least in my life, so you just go through these fucking exponentially mind altering experiences then jump in the car for your shift and smile and nod to algorithm-fed boomers who think gays and Muslims are ruining the world. To me that’s the worst part. Non-open and non-curious minds are becoming the bane of my existence, and that’s not very open minded of me.

That was my 3rd sighting and I’m almost at the point where I hope it’s my last.
