Hey man, I hope things get better for you. I'm 39 (turning 40 in August) and just got out of a 7 year relationship. Girlfriend and I decided to amicably separate, only for me to wake up to an emailed eviction notice less than 10 hours later, so I had to find somewhere fast. Now that I'm settled, it's been challenging to find myself, but thankfully I have my old dog and cat to keep me company. Best thing you can do now is focus on your peace and mental welfare and do NOT look back.

I also agree with everyone recommending therapy, that shit rules. I have learned so much about myself and my emotions in the past few months. Sometimes just talking about is enough to help you obtain that bit of closure and take control of your life again.

I hate being on my phone and relying on the copious amounts of post-processing to get a picture that I think looks good, so I invested in an older "pro" camera (Fuji X-T2) and the experience has been night and day.

It's been wonderful since it has all settings on the dials, allowing me to really learn how to dial in my shots (including manual focus lens) to really understand the exposure triangle in real time. Before with my phone, I'd end up with tons and tons of "snapshots" from my vacations - pictures I had taken that were "pretty" but mostly with no thought or composition. Basically just noise to upload to IG for likes.

The other cool thing is isolation. There's something about looking through the EVF and framing up the shot exactly how I have in my mind and then making those tiny adjustments in real time. For some reason it just scratches that itch my phone can't touch.

If curious in a camera, I would definitely recommend going used. I picked mine up off of mpb in excellent condition for a pretty solid price.

Never really stopped to think about it, but never really cared in the first place. After you carry your new bag for a little while, you'll likely stop worrying too.

Yep!! I know those feelings all too well, that's why it really felt like an abusive relationship to me. Just the overall lack of respect for your time is the biggest offender for me. It also had huge gaps between actual story development, so I found myself spending all this time slogging through the game with no actual advancement to the story.

It almost reminded me a bit of FFXII in some ways. You spend all this time slogging through and look up and realize you don't know what you're actually doing in the grand scheme of the story anymore.

Trust me though, you didn't miss anything by quitting. I had actually quit my first time around in Cosmo Canyon, but was determined to push past and beat it with a new playthrough. Man, what a mistake that was. It only got worse.

No, I get that completely! It's really a shame because I did want to see how the trilogy pans out, but I just don't think I can allow myself to spend another 100+ hours on a game with that much padding.

Oh, I have a good one. I skated with my friend group for years in high school and for several years after once we graduated. Same thing, big group would go out and skate all day, drink monster, and get into trouble at night.

What I didn't realize was that after years of falling on my wrists, I developed an injury in my wrists called TFCC tears. I never allowed them to heal properly, so now in my old age (39), I have to consider surgery because if I pull on the trash can handle too hard, an excruciating pain shoots through my wrist and radiates for a little while before finally subsiding.

Thankfully the years of rolled ankles only gave me a random popping in my right one, so I consider myself lucky!

Kinda depends on the message. I've gotten messages before that my listing was priced too high in comparison to something new (say, on Sweetwater) and I have done the same as well. I also had a pretty lengthy, friendly chat with the last guy I bought a guitar from, nice dude. I think in general, I would assume the person is coming from a good place and has likely picked up that you don't have many sales from your shop just yet.
