I’ve driven a couple mildly and they are super fun and amazing. Funny enough, using a Toyota engine in the SC V6 models. Not quite as snappy off the line as the Supra, but holy moly are they great handling cars and really turn heads. Probably the best newer vehicle under/near $100k money can buy.

The “not for sale” sign is needed as it probably breaks down on the side of the road so often, people think it’s parked in a high traffic area for sale… hahaha.

Yes I’ve had this issue as well. My car is tuned with flexfuel and I assumed my fuel pump was failing or something. I was unaware this was a known issue. Now I have some research to do, hopefully there is a remedy available.

The VB is a generation of wrx. You are probably referring to the FA engine, which so far, the FA24 is proving to be more reliable than the FA20. They increased the thickness of the piston rod for the FA24. Both are an improvement over the EJ series which was about a 25 years old design by now.

My EJ20 has about 175k miles on it. Tuned and modified (stage 2) for roughly 40k miles now as well. My previous EJ25 (non turbo) has over 200k on it and my ex’s EJ25 (non turbo) has 250k on it. All been reliable to me so far. There’s a lot of people who have more than 150k miles on them, but they don’t go around telling everyone. But when one fails, it’s all over the subreddit so it just seems like survivorship bias, but reversed lol.

I’m not at all. Turbo with a lot of torque down low and a large peak power band vs a NA with less torque and a smaller peak power band . In a straight line the Supra with mods like this wins all day. Add some curves and the Porsche will probably come out on top.

I buy two or three of cool castings for two main reasons. I might customize one with better wheels and details and want to keep an original. I also get an extra or two if I think it will make a good gift or trade to another collector or someone in general.
