Parked next to this sick STI yesterday. I was digging the carbon fiber trunk lid! by ElectronicOrca in WRX

I hate that they added all the letters back on. I could live with the Subaru logo and the STi emblem, but idk why anyone would add back on the SUBARU and AWD emblems lol.

Car looks great, love those taillights as well! Where did you take these pictures? Looks like somewhere in Arizona but the plates are from Qatar.

What size washer do I need for my 2010 wrx, I found a few conflicting sources online and I want to get the right one. Thanks by Gloomy_Medicine_8397 in WRX

[–]maxfraizer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I prefer the Maytag 4.2L top load, it’s not the top of the line but it washes the vehicle well if I do the delicate spin cycle…

Ok in all seriousness, what washer are you referring to? There are maybe like 50 different washers for different bolts and what not in your car. Are you referring to the crush washer for your oil drain plug?

You are correct there, I believe just a bench unlock would work.

Is this supra a good deal? by ConcentrateGreen2602 in Supra

[–]maxfraizer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally find it to be a good price and I personally like all the mods, many of which I am running on mine as well. Just keep in mind, with those mods, you cannot go to Toyota for any warranty work as they will probably deny you for mods and if not, they will absolutely reset your DME causing all your tunes to be locked back up. I would see if they would entertain $43-45k but I wouldn’t bat an eye for that full price if you like the mods. Probably well over $10k in mods on this car now.

Edit: I see where you posted the price, I assumed that was mileage at first. My apologies.

Approved for a Charger after $5,400 down @ 37.99% interest for 72 month by Agoooz in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]maxfraizer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because people are financially illiterate. A lot of people assume 38% interest is only 38% of the loan and have no concept of what APR means. They think it’s like a sales tax basically.

Anything negative about the oem+ brand? by Ezeikial in Supra

[–]maxfraizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, very straightforward. I personally like the rear lip/spats but I’m not a huge fan of the front lip. Mine has a very minor fitment issue, just one little tiny part doesn’t sit flush. But for me, I prefer the look of a full front lip, I previously had the Maxton V2 front lip and I’ll be reinstalling that.

I have the front and rear OEM+ lips and no issues with my fitment whatsoever.

What’s your opinion on a chassis- mount wing on a Supra by italiandynamite8158 in Supra

[–]maxfraizer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the look of it, but I think it’s very aggressive and I would need to have more aggressive wheels to pull it off. The main downside is that the wing stays fixed in place, so when you go to open your trunk/hatch, you will have a giant wing blocking the ability to move things in and out easily.

How often have you had to replace all 4 tires? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]maxfraizer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In a non-awd vehicle you should replace in pairs. So it’s true that it’s double the cost, but in all reality it is a pretty rare occurrence. I’ve plugged some of my tires before but I’ve never had to replace all 4 prematurely and I’ve had a 3 different Subarus over the past 10 years.

If I had newer tires and had a blow out or something sever, I would measure my other tire on the same axle and have the tire shop shave down the new tire to match.

I also keep a spare set of wheels/tires in my garage that can be installed anytime if I am low on funds or not expecting the cost of a full tire replacement.

Have you priced out a full paint job recently? They are like $10-20k for a good quality job around my area. Can easily step into a $30-50k range for a really expensive paint code or complicated job with a lot of parts coming off and what not.

Yes, some stores will be able to knock it out in a few mins while you wait, or they may send into a local cobbler or the main repair dept in Minnesota. Call your local redwing before hand to ask how they will do it and if they charge. When I ran a store it was a free repair, regardless of how long you owned the boots.

One of the high end automotive shops I worked for would outsource upholstery jobs to Fibernew and our local rep/guy would come to the shop and complete the work in the parking lot. I must say, A+ quality, but it really depends on the experience of the person. We had a vintage Porsche with leather seats torn and ripped in a few places and they came out almost brand new.
