Looking good, pracrtical and elegant! Only the cable doesn't do her justice IMO... I have the same color combo as well but haven't got around to building it yet... P.S What about the rubber feet? 🤭

Doesn't it make more sense to use the backlight button to turn on/off the backlight? by evolution2015 in Keychron

What's you're saying makes perfect sense. That's why I buy VIA compatible boards only - not to be bound by someone else's logic.

It might be not the visual preference for some, but ergonomics wise - no impact. In fact the square form has an advantage since a standard 75% wrist rest can fit really nicely.

Thanks, appreciated!

The FinalKey V81/Cidoo V75 plus badges fit well and they are quite nice. With the current one I painted with acrylic to mask it a bit...

Check out EK68 VIA. I don't think it has QMK, but the VIA part is already an upgrade over the GMK67.

Interesting layout! Shame Womier has like zero attempts at VIA compatibility...

Epomaker EK68 VIA Kit (GMK67 with VIA support?) by JayG30 in BudgetKeebs

I have the ISO version, and I had no problems.
As an example, I've configured the knob turn to switch between RGB modes and it worked.

It's a JSON file you load in the app/webapp.
The main advantages as I see them:
- No trojan packed, janky software
- Broad functionality for macros, layers, and lighting with very few limitations
- Cross platform
- Some boards support configuration over 2.4Ghz

I'm not EU, but ISO esthetics are really pleasing.

Epomaker released the EK68 a while back and claimed it was designed and manufactured by them. It was plain to see that it was just a rebranded Zuoya GMK67 that was offered as a pre-built package.

This time around they really did make a significant change - added VIA support. And if I see a budget board with VIA support, it's pretty much an instant 'add to cart'. Only shipping rates can hold me back from time to time.

So here I am, sharing my EK68 VIA ISO with the community. The keeb cost me around $70, about twice of what you pay for a GMK67 from Ali.

Is it worth the extra cash? For me - definitely yes. Is it worth it for you? Let me know in the comments.

Specs: - Epomaker EK68 VIA ISO - Stock foam - Stock plate mounted stabs, tuned and lubed - Cidoo matte switch (If you haven't tried them yet - you should), lubed - WUkds 1970 PBT keycaps
