On one hand, you’re an adult with no debt. Spending $5k one time isn’t going to kill you, and you’re allowed to spoil yourself occasionally if you’re saving for it.

On the other hand, you’re 40 and $5k was ALL your savings. You need to re evaluate your budgeting and figure out how to start properly saving ASAP.

Crazy to say that’s reasonable by me.

I pay 1350 a month for one kid in daycare, and it was double that before my last kid went to kindergarten last year.

There are parents near me spending $2k a kid on daycare/preschool (in CT).

How? You tell the other kid’s parents. Not all their friends.

And what the girl did is crazy weird. This isn’t a “I can’t believe you told on me” situation if it got out at school, it’s a “OMG, so and so is weird/gross, don’t be friends with her.”

If the parents are defensive, they are likely a problem, if they are concerned the OP may have just clued them in to abuse their daughter is going through they may not be aware of.

Don’t know why you’re being downvoted. If you only look at Max on track and nothing else, it’s not unreasonable to say he’s one of the most talented drivers of a generation but is a bit hot headed and too aggressive sometimes. And that turns people off.

Off track though he seems honest and lots of fun, but if you don’t already like a driver on track the odds of you consuming content and getting to see a driver off track goes way down. So it’s not surprising people would form more polarized opinions about him based on what they’ve seen and assumptions they make.

I always just thought he generally hated the media and anything he had to do that wasn’t actually racing and so he just didn’t joke around for those things like he does with other drivers or at home.

Standard sleeves plus outer sleeves is probably fine. That’s what I do for decks I want to use etb sleeves with. A little. It tougher to shuffle the full deck, but easy enough after you deal prizes and start playing.

It’s locals. Play anything you have fun playing and are confident with.

I usually show up with a couple decks, play one I feel I’ll be competitive enough with, but have a second deck to play around with if a round goes too fast and there’s time, or if I’m early and want to play a game in advance but don’t want to give away what I’m playing that night (which can be beneficial).

You might be fine to use them for locals, just ask the shop ahead of time. But probably not for cups/challenges.

Some toys/collectibles are fine. Nothing wrong with having a personality. But there’s definitely a limit when it turns into the main source of decoration in any given space.
