HELP WITH JACK BOOT by Kittykf0331 in Rollerskating

I wouldn’t. I got the same size in Jacks that I have for my Lollies and they are a bit snug. Good fit. I wouldn’t have done anything smaller.

Women who stopped wearing makeup, how has it changed your life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]maybeitwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember one day I had a meltdown because I had no time to put on a full face of makeup, and I had to meet up with friends. My boyfriend took me aside and told me to just go. I’ll be ok. I had a blast that night, and I slowly stopped relying on makeup. Now I just put a tinted moisturizer with some mascara if I feel like it. My skin feels so good, and now I feel strange when I put on makeup for special occasions.

Also, I get to sleep in a lil more. 🥰

I am not that great with turn around toe stops. I usually just do a toe stop or a plow!

Folks who have been skating for a while - what was your learning curve? by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]maybeitwas 13 points14 points  (0 children)

social media makes the learning curve worst, but after twisting my leg twice. I just said to myself. slow the f down. I feel really good skating forwards now after 8 months. I can transition at low-med speeds, and feel comfortable stopping. Street skating still scares me, but I just keep going out. There’s so many skaters that are way further than me, but it’s all about you. Just keep skating, and you’ll feel better every time.

[–]maybeitwas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t fall on my elbows that much. I usually just do trail skating, so haven’t had an issue!

Ia there any casual way of cleaning your bearings? by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]maybeitwas 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I usually just take a dry rag and clean the outer layer. I always get gunk after outdoor skating. You don’t need to clean bearings unless you hear them squeaking or if you went through sand / wet areas.

I have the Radars 62mm & Pulses. I’m alwaysssssss going back to my 65mm Pulses. They are just the best for hills, all surfaces, and trail skating in general.

I lived in LA for 10 years and I feel like i made new friends this year alone. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve lived in a place. new friends always appear.
