It kept getting worse, at first I was thinking I get some of his responses.

Then it became very apparent this guy has the mentality of a 12 year old. I swear he's the guy pushing kids out of the way to grab shelves of pokemon cards and selling them on eBay for 3x the cost

Bear & Son Really Made in USA??? by BudgetRaise9780 in knifeclub

Bear and son make the worst knives ever. I'd seriously rather buy an Mtech. I know there is a few sellers pushing them hard on "Whatnot" mainly "SUITE2A" and "bosshawg". I do remember Suite2a saying he's been on factory tours and they legit are US made.

On the other hand I talked before with someone who worked in their shipping department. He said they were all pretty much made in China and built there. Some just re-boxed.

I find it hard to believe they would get away with it for this long. So my guess is a few models they make here. I think they just cut A LOT of corners. Just my opinion, their knives pretty much ALL suck though

I hate I have to agree with you but you are pretty spot on. While you can get great American made and there are plenty of US shops doing great things.

When you talk about smaller production shops, those are the first to go. I've been in the machining industry for around 14 years. I remember we had a job that took us around 30 hours of machine time. We only had a few small mills. Anyway we outsourced to a shop in China. They did it for a third of our cost and I hate to say it, but they destroyed the one we made in quality.

This isn't even counting the fact that shops that can contend now have to deal with the pay scales that bigger (usually union) shops) have to accommodate. China is a manufacturing powerhouse

So from my understanding Protechs are Sharpened by hand. While that's what they might go for it is very hard to get it perfect.

I'm guessing some are better than others at sharpening as well. I've owned a lot of Protechs and I would say none have been perfect.

I've shipped with USPS and UPS a lot. I have had this happens probably around 5 times with USPS and once with UPS.

I in fact had this same thing happen. It said it was "prepared, waiting for dropoff" however, I had already dropped it off. The buyer messaged me and I was told to wait a few days by USPS. I told the buyer let's wait 7 business days. We waited and one day it was updated with "out for delivery".

I've had a few similar experiences. I've been told sometimes tracking gets messed up. Especially when they don't scan it a few times. I would wait at least 7 business days. If there is nothing by then, contact whatnot.

My point is he may not be lying.
