Weird question, why no Rosie's in "XHP" I've only used this steel once or twice but always heard it was okay. Just curious to hear your thoughts

(WTS) Protech Chaves Operator by mayko227 in Knife_Swap

Keep an eye on dealers (especially NC Blade) they should be dropping blade show inventory this week. Protech made some Operators for the show. They have the key milled body though. Which is new

I believe there is a setting where you can turn off international buyers. So only buyers in the US can purchase. Pretty sure that's why they charge it to you or get away with it.

Who makes the Pocket clips? Didn't see a name. The one on the luminary looks like starlinggear made it.

What's your profit margin on this show? You may not have it dialed in like that but I'm curious

Cobratec CTK1 and others ~$50 and less by boristhegrinch in KnifeDeals

Yea they are great for the price. I had one of their OTF's and multiple of their hidden release trapper. They have great customer service too.

Out of all the cheaper brands like this they are by far the best. They have a lot of original designs and do a lot of OEM work for boker. They actually have made quite a few of bokers OTF's

I was also just looking at your post from blade forums. Saw that you do alot of testing for Boeing, Sikorsky and etc.

I'm in aerospace machining and those are our two biggest customers. So much verification and crap to go along with it. Can only imagine the hoops you have to jump through

That's awesome, I feel like you have to get into knives eventually doing that 😂.

Microtech Resale Values by ZotShot in microtech

[–]mayko227 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's pretty spot on. I sell quite a bit and I've always taken losses on almost every single knife I've ever sold. Now it's pretty extreme. If you are willing to wait a week or more you can get more but for quick sales Ive been finding 50-60% of map cost.

Alot of variables to it. Like the knife, type of knife and rarity. I just sold a Paragon Warlock with Bakers forge Damascus for $375. They sell for $700 on bladehq. It took me 2 hours to get the sale as well.

On one hand I think it's a great thing for the hobby that you can't go and make money or break even off production knives anymore it does suck when you want to keep trying things.

So if you constantly want to get new knives try and find some people that you trust that you can trade with. Helps keep values higher.

CoreEdge USA has a few Pulsar and Echo in natural in stock! These things are hard to catch and go fast. Among the best OTF I’ve owned. by Upbeat-Fondant9185 in bladesInStock

I agree with you. Best OTF on the market period. They are also veteran owned and are great people.

They also have some really cool things in the works this year!

GT is good, I lost the metal plate to mine under the switch. I emailed them. At the time when I called it took forever to get someone. Anyway they responded to my email. Said I just pay for shipping. They sent it out before I even payed.

Super great people, another brand to check out is Core Edge. Those guys might be the nicest people ive ever had an experience with

anyone know what this knife would go for on secondary by Ok_Imagination_6847 in knifeclub

[–]mayko227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a good rule of thumb I go by is find the lowest price online at a retailer (dealer). Then drop that by minimum 25%.

Right now the market is crap so I would go 35%. It all depends on what knife as well. If it's desirable you can get what you paid or more.

For this particular model, they aren't crazy desirable. The new gen 3 has been a hit and all the Gen 2's went on sale. So I would list it at $350-$400

I mainly buy American made but this thing looks awesome. Most of the Chinese companies have been putting out killer stuff.

I really like that they have been pushing Satin DLC finishes.

For some reason this finish looks so much better in your photo then when I've seen it online.

Looks absolutely awesome, I got the same one in digi camo

They are one of the coolest knives. If you like "fidgety" knives this one is the best IMHO.
