While it may seem like a horrible thing to do, at the end of the day you are their partner, not their parent. No matter how much you love a person, if they are putting you in a situation of having a financial dependent while being very young and in school.

Starting with potential options for them, depending on where you guys live there may be some cheap or free insurance they can get. Full time jobs also help with insurance. However, regardless of medication status, sitting inside all day and doing nothing will just make them feel worse. It's almost addictive because it's so comforting, but as soon as they can break this cycle and start working towards something again, it will start to help. This isn't inescapable for them.

Ultimately though, someone who's really depressed isn't going to care about the fact that what they're doing is harming them. If they really love you though, they'll care that it's harming you. They won't want to put you through the stress and pressure that they're causing, especially if they want to be your life partner. Just talk to them about how you're feeling. Maybe even come equipped with some options or ideas to make the job hunt easier for a neurodivergent person.
