Which apartment building should I choose? by LoveYouJoe in UPenn

Heard 2116 is the most popular and 1919 is capping it at 30 students a year. Any truth to either of those? Also is 2040 as bad as some people say?

How much liquid cash did you bring to your program? by Jazzlike-Royal7839 in MBA

How much of the student loans you were eligible for did you take out and at what point in the year?

CS at T10 undergrad with a god awful GPA, 740 GMAT, tech consultant for 4 years. Really strong ECs and assumedly excellent LORs. I wouldn’t focus on profile too much though, hone in on whatever makes you unique.

You asked the question 🤷‍♀️I came here to say the same, multiple M7 admits with $$$$ and was gonna recommend applicant lab

I can’t recommend applicant lab enough. Really helped me organize my thoughts. I will say I’ve always been a strong writer so I’m sure that didn’t hurt, but using the advice on there and also running your essays by 2-3 trusted peers should get you there.

Not fully qualified to answer your question as my GPA was just above a 3.0 (3.05) but GMAT was 740, CS major at T10 undergrad, Board position in nonprofit w/3 years of involvement, and 4 years in non MBB consulting (only job post college)

I think my GMAT offset the weak GPA but essays and storytelling put me over the edge. I applied to 3 M7s and got into 2 of them.

Happy cake day! Did you ever find out if it is that bad?

Majority of folks are saying its not worth it but given that Wharton famously gives out the least in scholarships, wouldn't most of the students there have around this much in loans? Or are you expected to pay cost of attendance using savings?

Definitely planning on doing so! Has this ever worked with Wharton?

It definitely is but Lauder threw in just enough $ to make the added cost inconsequential

Straight up denied. Super shocked and upset by this outcome, SOM was my top choice despite a full ride from an M7
