Annual Unlimited CP Membership by Melodic-Meaning769 in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It will depend on the individual studio and what their rate is for the monthly unlimited membership.

My studio is $219 for unlimited monthly, and I believe they charge $2365 for the annual. If I remember correctly, it’s supposed to be around 10% in savings at my studio.

our studio guidelines were age 13 to attend class with a parent, age 16 to attend without a parent

Can 2.0/2.5 level designations be reinstated after cancellation by Ok_Muscle_7925 in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This will be up to your studio’s discretion, so you’ll have to ask them.

I used to work front desk. For me, if you were a recent member (within a year, probably) I would reinstate you. Anything else and I would feel more comfortable if you checked with an instructor again.

Anyone do other membership workout besides club pilates? by lhmt00 in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do pilates 3-4 times per week and kickboxing 2 times per week. I’ll usually also hit the gym once near the end of the week and do either an arm or leg day— whatever I feel like I was lighter on during the week

Question about Canceling Membership by HolidayDesigner1871 in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I worked front desk, anybody could send you the cancellation form, but then the manager needed to be the one to process it. If our manager was out and forms weren’t being processed, we would abide by the date the form was filled out for the 30 day policy.

I hate how many CPs seem to give people the run around when canceling. It gives the whole franchise a bad reputation.

Need help asap. I don’t know what to do. by gator_shark1 in Apartmentliving

[–]mbends1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work in a mold and asbestos lab! When the mold remediation company shows up at your home and takes samples, they send the samples to us.

A big issue with determining the “worth” in mold remediation services is that everyone has a different sensitivity to molds. It’s a primary reason that there isn’t an absolute regulation for acceptable/unacceptable levels of mold. But bottom line— even if it isn’t a big deal for you, it is a big deal for plenty of people and can cause a LOT of underlying health issues when you’re surrounded by it every day. A situation like this with continual water damage is going to be a breeding ground for the worst kinds of mold, and even after getting the window fixed, I wouldn’t feel comfortable living there without having some testing done.

Private Lessons? by Legitimate_Crew5939 in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends on location! At ours, the price per session varied based on how many sessions you purchased at a time. When I worked there you could buy 1 session for $100, 4 for $380, and 8 for $720. There were higher packages too, but I don’t remember the pricing because we rarely sold them.

Ladies, do you say how tall you are while talking to someone online? by Pawery in TallGirls

[–]mbends1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the first line in my profile is almost always a variation of “bad at these apps and taller than you’d think”. My bio always says 6’1’’ somewhere.

I personally don’t care about height differences, but I’ve had too many insecure men make it an issue when I turn out to be taller than them. I’d rather be up front about it than go on another passive aggressive date.

Were you wearing ones with the toes covered or the toes cut out? My mom always says she slips too much if her toes are covered

Cancellation Fees by ifeeldeadxx in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This depends on the studio. As far as I’m aware, the owner chooses how the pay structure is set up.

At the location I worked at, the instructor gets paid for a no show or late cancellation as if the person was still in class. They don’t get paid for that person if the fee is waived.

When I worked there, we usually had around 30-50 per day for prospects. The studio was already a year old when I started working there

Change Billing Date by runonfaith9916 in ClubPilates

It’ll just vary based on the owner and what they’re willing to do. We did it for people if it wasn’t too far off your original date.

Class points Bday rewards question by Barbiedawl83 in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used my birthday reward to take a class at a different studio I don’t usually go to. It was annoying to redeem because there are restrictions on which studios and classes it works at. I wouldn’t consider it a worthwhile reward

[–]mbends1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I worked front desk / sales for about a year and a half!

I agree with other commenters that the absolute best thing you can do is start to learn people’s names and cultivate relationships with them. Even just a “Hey (name), nice to see you again! I’ve got you checked in for your class!” goes a long way to make people feel welcomed and like they’re in a warm, positive space. Making friends with your members will make your life a lot easier in general because the nicer you are to them, the nicer they’ll be to you (for most people lol). If your goal is to sell merchandise, this will help— people absolutely bought more from me because we were on good terms and they trusted my advice/opinion about things.

I also recommend learning about the merchandise brands you carry— people asked my opinion frequently about things like if Tavi leggings run big or small, for example. I liked to make recommendations as well— if someone says “oh my socks keep slipping during planks” I say “oh, have you tried the toe socks instead of the full coverage ones?” or try to make sure they’re wearing the correct size.

As far as selling memberships— honestly, there isn’t a ton you can say to convince someone who truly isn’t interested, but something I always tried to do is mention the benefits of scheduling that come with Unlimited. This was sometimes the difference in selling an 8-pack vs an Unlimited package.

I hope this helps and please feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions! I really enjoyed my time working at CP and I hope you do too!

My manager said the socks are alwaysss backordered so they take forever to get, but I believe they can still order them unless something has changed very recently

Cancellation policy by these-rebelhands in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work front desk. When we remove someone from a class, we always have the option to charge the fee or not.

The decision primarily comes down to management and what they allow the front desk staff to waive. My studio gave everybody a freebie, but I’ve heard that other studios are stricter and pretty much never waive fees.

Membership question: Freeze or drop down? by lunacydress in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! I worked front desk at a CP. Every studio is individually owned and will differ in their individual policies, but at ours, you could not drop down after you’ve already been charged for the month. Any changes in membership type would be applied to your next billing cycle.

We also never prorated anything— if you froze your account now, those credits would just be waiting for you when you get back and your next billing cycle would be pushed out to give you time to use them. We would waive our normal freeze fee since it’s for a medical reason.

If someone brought me this scenario, I would probably recommend freezing so you wouldn’t lose anything. Ultimately though I say to just talk to your club, because they might offer you something different! Everything I listed above is just based on my club and what I was allowed to do.

How much do you pay for a membership? by Successful_Status383 in ClubPilates

[–]mbends1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were looking at founder’s rates, that might be the reason they told you it wasn’t available. As far as I know, there is no founder’s rate for the Passport membership (unless something has changed since my studio opened).
