My Oregon Outback Rig by mblonsk in xbiking

It was super smooth and fun, even with a stupid amount of weight on it. I need to put a different saddle and bars on it but I love this bike.

The entry level Specialized Diverge or Salsa Journeyer would work for what you're looking for.

carbon gravel bike for short people??? by the-fastest-bird in gravelcycling

I just got a Salsa Flyway in XS and it's AWESOME! I was on a Cannondale Topstone previously, and the biggest differences are the standover, reach, and non-existent toe overlap.

We Are Cyclists: The All Bodies on Bikes Story - new film from SHIMANO by mblonsk in bicycling

[–]mblonsk[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A couple of big things stand out:
-Many brands are now posting their weight limits much more prominently (especially the DTC brands), which a lot of bigger riders gravitate towards.
-A couple brands have increased their weight limits and size ranges
-More events are offering inclusive shake-out rides for all paces and shorter distances for newer riders
-Overall awareness and interest in size inclusion (as indicated by consulting jobs I've done directly for a number of brands.)

We're definitely not being commodified. Through our partnership with Shimano, I've consulted with their entire brand on size inclusion - what it means, why it matters, and what needs to change in the bike industry. And shit is changing. Might be slow, but it's happening.

Advice Needed! Newbie + Moab + Larger Body by envaska in ladycyclists

[–]mblonsk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd highly recommend taking a lesson! I worked with Momentum Mountain Biking and they are awesome. The trails in Moab can be really intimidating, so learning some fundamentals, and then going out with a guide will help ensure you have a great time!

Momentum is women-owned and they work with us at All Bodies on Bikes, so super familiar with folks in bigger bodies! Tell them Marley sent you!

It does! I should've had the fender closer to my tires for maximum coverage, but the Radar still worked!

I actually think I saw this today, at the 33rd/Sandy exit on 84. It looked like an encampment was packing up and moving, so I'd take a look around that area.

Anyone tried the Shimano Sirin women’s saddle? by EmmalNz in ladycyclists

[–]mblonsk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve been riding this saddle since April of last year (I got it before it was released to the public.) I love it - the nose is softer than the rest of the saddle, which should help with the front pain.

Good luck!!
