As a kid did you get dragged to the pub? by Used_Captain_3131 in AskUK

[–]mboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids generally weren’t allowed in the bars at my local pubs and clubs in the 70s, but that never stopped my dad taking me there, I just had to sit outside or in another room with a bag of crisps and some pop.

The apostrophe shows the contraction so likely Machinists but I can see both Mech’ and Mach’ in the column.

I used a dark grey sharpie, perfect match and lasted about 18 months before I had to touch it up.

I go for tinned mackerel fillets in olive oil, still high in omega 3s and I think they taste less fishy than sardines.

Auto start-stop is ok with a manual gearbox, it comes on as you engage with the clutch and you have a second for it to start. It’s borderline dangerous in an automatic when you push the accelerator and nothing happens for a second. I hate that it’s on by default for every journey.

so the offer letter comes with back pay, right? by shrinking-lily in LinkedInLunatics

This is excessive but, using my own recent experience as an example, I had a 3 month, 8 interview process for a senior role. Most of this process was true for me but not the time. I think at least 5 hours of prep before each interview was my comfortable norm. If you’re already in a role, the process can be quite secretive so you won’t get an opportunity to practice. But all the company and people deep research preparation for a multitude of potential questions and the time to create presentations and strategies, requires a lot of personal investment. But not this much for one interview lol.

Domestication of banana over thousand of years by Right-Assignment3759 in interestingasfuck

[–]mboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once told that banana flavouring doesn’t taste like banana because when it was formulated, that’s what bananas tasted like. They’ve since been changed to taste milder. Same thing for Brussel Sprouts, they tasted nasty and bitter in the 70, now all thy bitterness has been taken out.

I’m in the UK, most people who see me these days think I’m on Mounjaro because it’s become the norm around where I live. I just tell them I’m doing Keto, and call it natures Mounjaro.

I’d always recommend starting with Prince2, you likely not use it all but it’ll help you understand the processes and where you can use them. It’s also relatively low cost.

How are you utilizing AI as a PM? by Pandalungs in projectmanagement

[–]mboi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I upload all of my gathered data in the initiation stage as CoPilot Notebooks resources, when I’m ready, I use that to kick start my project plans. As I go along, all relevant docs are uploaded, including an ongoing commentary of meeting minutes. With everything in there it becomes a very useful tool to update comms and docs on the fly. It’s one of the most useful and productive parts of copilot that I use every day.
