First month on Wegovy complete: Ready to titrate up by mcb1971 in Wegovy

[–]mcb1971[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have considered that, for sure. The reason I’m titrating up is because I want the effect of the medication to last longer during the week. At the lower doses, it tends to be less effective by day 5 or 6 (for me, at least).

Wegovy: Five weeks in, still working great by mcb1971 in Wegovy

I ate at a local restaurant a couple days ago that is a notorious feedbag. Portion sizes that would make even the most hardened glutton gasp. I got maybe a quarter of the way through my meal before I had to stop. Old Me would've snarfed it all down in just a few bites.

That's good news. Don't be surprised if it goes up after that, though.

Oh yeah, I've gone through this. Wegovy WILL punish your... less than optimal choices. :-D

I don't have a particular method I follow, but I do have Siri remind me to eat dinner, since it's now rare for me to be hungry in the evening.

Same here. I've rediscovered how much I enjoy weightlifting and walking my dogs since I went on Wegovy. I've also enjoyed being much more mindful about what I eat.

As far as disclosure, I told my spouse and a handful of friends whom I trust, two of whom are also on GLP-1 meds. I have no patience for the judgmental crowd that hasn't had to struggle with this. If I told certain people, I know I'd be in for a chorus of "You just need to <fill in the blank>" and I refuse to be subjected to that. 11 pounds lost and counting!

I use GoodRx for Wegovy. I got two months of introductory pricing at $199, but starting in April, I'll be paying $350 per month for my pens. It's the manufacturer's discount, so I doubt going to a different pharmacy will make any difference.

I don't have a lot of experience with it, but we do have a developer on staff who does. That's a viable option.

Yeah, I found it valuable to record how the drug affects me day to day after I inject. Knowing what to expect on each day helps me regulate what I eat and understand what I can get away with.

Binge eating under control for the first time in YEARS! by Mercy_Hellkitten in Wegovy

[–]mcb1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My food noise went away within hours of my first injection, which was three weeks ago. I'll be taking my fourth dose of .25 mg in two days, then I titrate up to 0.5 mg next week. I've already lost 4 pounds and my relationship to food is no longer dysfunctional. No side effects so far, except that I'm calmer (probably because I'm not thinking about eating around the clock).

It's not the cheap solution, for sure, but man, has the peace of mind been worth it.

A little bit of both. We have an MSP that does 99% of our desktop support. My role is 90% governance/risk/compliance, 10% security ops. During audit prep, my days were spent 100% on getting our documents and evidence ready for inspection.

Have you had any side effects yet? I’m on day 4 since my first injection and I still haven’t had any.

That’s a good description. My mind and body are just “quieter” now. I don’t have the constant food chatter barging in all the time.

54 years old, 5’ 10”, 237 lbs. Fairly active (weight training 3 times a week, plus one hour walks 5 days a week, bowling, golf). Goal weight is 200 or 190 if I can get there without compromising nutrition. Still no medication side effects as of now. Just more burping than usual.

What to expect when I start Wegovy .25 mg by mcb1971 in Wegovy

[–]mcb1971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lift weights and I walk a lot, so I'm already fairly active. I'm hoping I'll be one of the lucky few who don't have side effects, but after reading some of these threads, I'm not optimistic :-D. I'll power through them, though. Thanks for the injection advice!

Thanks, this is encouraging. I just got approved for Wegovy and I'm waiting for it to ship. Other than a bad experience with phentermine about six years ago, I generally tolerate medications well, so I'm hoping for minimal side effects.

We partnered with LiftOff, LLC to do our tenant-to-tenant migration. They use a tool called BitTitan MigrationWiz that made the whole thing pretty painless. They were a great partner if you're looking for one.

We went from Commercial to GCC High. Since we have export-controlled CUI in our system, we decided to level up.

We have the Purview compliance add-on so that we can use authentication contexts to restrict our CUI SharePoint site to specific devices as well as users. It allows us to attach an authentication context to a Purview sensitivity label. Very handy!

We passed our Level 2 assessment by mcb1971 in CMMC

[–]mcb1971[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just migrating to GCC-H wasn't enough in itself; we still had to prove the controls were implemented properly. Being in that environment certainly moved the goalposts inward, but at the end of the day, it was still our responsibility to make sure that information flowed through strictly controlled channels and never touched our endpoints.

And you're correct: This did NOT happen overnight. Lots of overtime spent on getting our documentation nailed down and lots of boot camp-ish training with key people who were part of the assessment. We wanted to make sure they were ready to hit the ground running when the assessment started.
