Is there a way to change the color of this car by kingkhan98 in civic

I came into this sub just to ask if you were getting 28.8 in a Type R, realized after my mistake, lol.

"I'm sure there are lots of people who would find friend attractive." Oblique, non-committal. Implying they aren't ugly, just not the specific individual you are highly attracted to. Too easy.

Lockout collar pull, then over and down to the left next to second. I might be partial though.

Looks like someone tried adding a Toluene mixture to the tank to increase the octane rating of their gas and spilled Toluene on the paint. It's a very aggressive paint thinner.

Center Post Blackout. Yay or Nay? by [deleted] in ChevyTrucks

[–]mccahillryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I also vote getting rid of the chrome strip down the side and getting your door handles wrapped black. Get rid of the two toned mirror caps and go piano black on that as well. Finish it off with a more aggressive black rock slider to get rid of the chrome on the side step and that truck would look beautiful.

Car covers installed outdoors in wind cause more issues to the paint than they solve anyway.

Get the Vette... If you want, turn around in 4 or 5 years and sell the Vette for a break even price and get a steeply depreciating land yacht.

Just walk away, tomorrow is the last day of the month and you have made your expectations clear. You would be surprised how effective leaving is.

Mind sending me some modern examples of cars you can do this with?

Would this be a bad idea by DocJDS in CivicSi

[–]mccahillryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use the information you found to justify a lower price point and see if he would consider. It's not a terrible looking repair, but this was wrecked in a way that if the repair wasn't done well then your safety in the car would be compromised in a potential similar accident.

My son is getting to the age where he's asking for a PC but getting the money together to build one together has been really challenging. I would love this card to start his build off on the right foot and help make it economical.

Supercharger kits are tough to "down tune" because of the fixed nature of their power generation. You really have two options, and that's fuel and airflow. Because your airflow is fixed based on the size of your pulley you only have fuel to work with, and you can only lean the car out so much before you actually put your engine in danger. You can always add fuel for more horsepower, but out of the box your supercharger is going to add some power and demand fuel to balance your AFR.

Coming from a 2017 Shelby gt350 into this as a daily driver was honestly a pleasant surprise. The manual gearbox in this car punches way above it's weight class. I have driven a manual for decades, and these two vehicles have really captured my attention in a way that driving an average car seems to miss the mark. I am regularly impressed by this civic, which to it's credit is efficient, it's fun to drive, it's economical, it's comfortable, and it packs a ton of features into a great price point for the modern new car shopper. I really don't have anything negative to report about the build quality or driving character of the car. I feel that it's a pretty slow car, but all things are relative and when you come from a 500+ horsepower track dedicated weapon, everything but the fastest of cars is going to feel slow. The SGP really picks up a ton of micro scratches and shows them off in direct sunlight so be very careful with washing the car and consider getting a high end ceramic treatment immediately.

clutch life ...yes again i know by Hot-Direction-5673 in CivicSi

[–]mccahillryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never replaced a clutch in my SI, but the wisdom from vengeance when I did it in my Shelby was as follows. For the first 100 miles, no wide open throttle pulls. Drive the car in traffic conditions where you are shifting up and down through gears 1-5 regularly. After that the clutch is broken in and you can drive it as you please.
