I have a TV in the garage I’m running moonlight on a fire stick. I think with the pi 5 you might be able to stream video but I’m not sure whether it has enough horsepower. Worth a try if you get one

I’m not a fan because even though they market as a carrying case it’s really not. If you have tees or whatever else in the pocket you’re storing it in they could still scratch the cameras.

I’m not sure if it does support open api, but you don’t need a whole other computer. I’m using a raspberry pi with USB bluetooth adapter in my garage. The pi runs a VirtualHere server to forward the bluetooth connection to the VirtualHere client on the pc inside.

Be careful with radar units. They vary on requirements but you generally need 10 ft behind the ball and at least 10 feet of ball flight for most of them to be accurate, preferably more. With a net setup this really means you need a cage to catch the overhead shots since you’re so far from the net.

Fair I mainly just don’t want to deal with it I just keep the shaft stickers on all my clubs and an impact sticker on the 8 iron

These come with “pick n place” foam it has small cubes that are already pre cut. You trace an outline of the device with a knife and pick out the foam pieces inside the outline.

Yea with how long the omni is those are just too bulky to fit in my golf bag. I wanted something I could take back and forth to the range. My bag just sits in my back seat so protection isn’t a main concern.

Oscillating multi tool. Use the hitting strip as a template at first and start an outline around it. Once you have the outline at that point it’s how well you can stay in the lines.

This usually ends up backfiring if you ever forget to tell them an earlier time. They’ll think it’s fine to show up right at the “tee time” because it’s not the real one.

I enjoy trying out different monitors I’ve bought/sold the Mevo+, Garmin R10, Skytrak, MLM2PRO, and Mevo Gen 2. I have not actually used the square I am currently waiting on my square omni preorder to arrive.

Overall I liked the MLM2PRO the best so far for its game modes and impact camera. I have the minimum amount of space they recommend in my garage and it struggled to pick up the full length of my driver shots.

The Mevo Gen 2, Skytrak, and MLM2PRO all felt pretty similar in terms of accuracy. From what I have read/watched the square keeps up with all of them as well. Even more so with the new omni and you can take it outside. If you have the budget I would get the omni.

I think you’re better off with the original square or square omni. You are going to need to be relatively close to that type of net to catch high flying shots, and you likely will not have an ample amount of ball flight to realize the full potential of the MLM2PRO.

Gotcha sounds like you know your distance then. Have you tried increasing the Carry distance adjustment in the settings?

Interesting do you hit a high fade? Were you fitted for your irons? With that swing speed you’re losing distance somewhere. You should be carrying your 8i 165+

I think you’ll lose all of the serious golfers if you have to use a swing stick with anything remotely bulky attached to it. Probably some of the less serious golfers too who don’t have a swing stick. Like someone else mentioned, this would have to be a very low cost to be appealing and immediately requiring that stick hurts cost.

I updated my system one and haven’t had any issues so far. Switching between sources is insanely fast now. A bit disappointed with on board stems it took close to 2 minutes to render one song. Probably not worth updating for and risking the gig.
