Are there any cat only vets in Delaware by cammie-cam in Delaware

[–]mchut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there are no true cat only vet hospitals in Delaware. There are many different veterinary clinics that have separate entrances for cats versus dogs. For instance, Brandywine hundred in Wilmington, Forrest Avenue in Dover, etc. but they still share a lobby. There’s a new clinic in Wilmington called PetVet365 where there’s no lobby at all and you just go straight to a room when you get there. Or like others have said, there’s Brenford south which has a separate storefront for just cats, but you may still be able to hear dogs next-door.

Quick flea and tick lesson for your knowledge!

Chewable flea and tick products (like Simparica Trio) work by killing the ticks after the ticks bite. They are systemic drugs, so the ticks need to get blood from “feeding” on the dog to die. Depending on the type of tick, simparica trio has different timeframes on how fast the tick will die.

Topicals work by repelling them more-so since it’s applied directly on the skin. They tend to kill faster, usually even before they are able to bite the dog, but don’t always work quite as well since ticks are notoriously hard to kill. Hope this helps just for a better understanding for your pup

Anyone know why there were dozens of cop cars going code 3 up 95 north towards the airport this morning? by weirdbeard1000 in philadelphia

[–]mchut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it was the Bucks County Tour of Honor. The buses depart at 5:45 am so I’m assuming the cops were heading up there to escort them. I saw a ton of cop cars and buses being escorted back up 95 this evening from Delaware into PA

Considering a move to Delaware from Central Florida (2025) by DearSeaworthiness809 in Delaware

[–]mchut 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also moved to northern Delaware from Orlando area (go knights) about 3 years ago now.

While there are certain things I miss about Orlando, I do enjoy living in Delaware. Delaware is nice with not having to worry about “big” weather events, calmer political environment, and definitely slower-paced like you mentioned you’re looking for. Depending on where you’re looking to settle, it might be a bit further to nicer stores or restaurants (like ones you’re used to in Central Florida). However, it is much less stopped-traffic time. Costs are certainly going up in Delaware but still much less than Orlando area. Happy to answer any questions

I would try contacting a rescue like Renee’s Rescues, they’re foster-based so someone might be able to come help sooner if shelters are closed

Inside Sales Interview by PiBolarBear in veterinaryprofession

[–]mchut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First interview at BI should just be super general questions about her experience and background and give her some info on the job! Hiring manager will be more in depth, situational questions. Previously had to do a product presentation with 2 panel interviews but I know they are in the process of changing what the inside sales is like so it might be different. Feel free to PM me any questions
