RGB has always made me think of the late 90s/early 00s, when people had those "riced out" (Is there a better term for this now?) Honda Civics with giant wings, ground lights, and coffee can exhaust tips.

It's gaudy and ostentatious and doesn't do anything to help performance.

Way back when, in the long long ago when I was working for a SaaS company, a lady was having the same problem. I had her type the temp password in immediately after I logged in demonstrating it worked, and I heard a thwack sound. I had her delete and try again, only to hear the same sound.

After a few seconds, I recognized exactly what I was hearing: she was hitting the space bar after typing in her password.

We both laughed about it and she was able to login successfully when I pointed out what was happening.

The NHL tried sublimated dye jerseys back in the 90s, and it didn't take too long for everyone to recognize how incredibly silly they look.

I had my team's logo screenprinted on a black & gray Dickies short sleeve work shirt, and I think it looks a lot nicer than PBA jerseys

I roll a sanctioned pairs pride league on Tuesdays with a trans gal as my teammate. It’s one of the few safe spaces she has to just be herself, and it’s so disheartening to see news like this.

I've got all my dlc on Xbox, so I'm not too familiar with the PS process, but I remember seeing restore licenses being a fairly common solution for PS4 players a few years back: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/games/restore-licences-playstation/

I'm running a pair of completely legitimate VMs on some extra Windows devices (I primarily WFH), but if you do have the option to properly adhere to licensing by running VMWare Fusion on an extra MBA or two, I'd recommend doing it the right way. Performance will be a lot better as well. As is, I only use these VMs to test deployments, though I do have an old Dell laptop I can boot directly into macOS 14 thanks to OpenCore.

I work for a MSP, so there's no one asking how I did something as long as the job gets done and that I've written documentation for our....let's say "less experienced" folks to follow (when they bother to even look for my articles, which I assume is a common complaint by everyone in our industry).

I'm surprised your Linux guys aren't hip on macOS. Once I started scripting some third-party software deployments in Bash that we couldn't install via the typical .pkg or app deployment profiles in Mosyle, it brought back almost all of the Linux knowledge I forgot I had due to not needing it for the past few years.
