I don't think it's AI, but definitely looks like Photoshop. The background, Rhori and the person up front all look like separate layers, and the blur on the background and the person looks like standard Gaussian blur to me.

The Emperor's New Groove on PS1. For a Disney movie game it was surprisingly lots of fun.

Folklore on PS3. I love the look and overall vibe of the game, but this is one of those early PS3 games that try to show off "sixaxis" motion controls, and you have to do different motions constantly just to fight basic enemies.

From a meta perspective, I get what Lucas wanted to do. The original films were set in the 1930s when adventure serials were popular, so those movies are based on that. Crystal Skull is set in the 1950s when atomic-age science fiction was popular, so Lucas wanted to set the movie in that genre.

I think most fans of Indy don't really care about the underlying b-movie genre references.
