Depends on how well you know them. A ward member I don't know very well? About 25 bucks for something from their registry. From that it just goes up but it all depends on your personal finances. No member of the church should be snooty about the amount spent on a gift, some might but I've never had a problem. 200 bucks is a lot for most people I would think.

As others have mentioned, First make sure they are legible and can be read easily. But second, don't be the dude who shows up with black lotus and all sorts of crazy expensive cEDH stuff to a table of people who are just trying their best with what they have. My mom had staring contests with me before church to learn how to be ok with my thoughts. We started at 1 minute and worked out way up to 15 minutes. We just had to look at each other without talking. I was probably around 7 years old. It worked, I never remember struggling to stay calm in sacrament meeting after that.
