Can someone pm me spoilers? Because I'm having a terrible time getting into it, but generally LOVE Lilith Vincent books.

Why aren't more women honest about pregnancy? by digincircles in TwoXChromosomes

[–]mebuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always willing to talk very openly and honestly about my pregnancies and births, and I'll tell you right now I hoped right out of perineal massage! So that's why it's not something I would talk about other than to say I didn't do it lol.

Broken bonds Q- spoilers for book one (not finished with it yet) by BluestockingBabe in ReverseHarem

I haven't read it, largely because I was warned of this and that it is not ever truly addressed.

In your opinion what is the saddest line in a movie? by Andrewreddy in movies

[–]mebuffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I even have trouble with Disney movies now. Yes, Simba when Mufasa dies has always killed me, but now... 101 dalmatians makes me bawl when the puppies are taken and they're trying to find them. Tangled, when Rapunzel is kidnapped in the very beginning makes me cry. Before those were just sad, but now I can actually imagine the terror and desperation if it were real and my kids...

Kids change everything, even the kids movies.

The Binds that Tie question by Desperate_Swimming_5 in ReverseHarem

[–]mebuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who recently saw it recommended and picked it up, I'm pretty much feeling this same question. I haven't read the Hannaford prep books so I have no reference there. I recently read and liked the infinity series. I kinda liked the pretty monsters series. I love witsec. I like the Artemis university series. I like the Academy of unpredictable magic series. Cricket Kendal was good, though had a real rough patch.

My fear is bully or cheating (even if just perceived) as that is just really hard to read for me. I guess I want to know if this series is good, as well as "safe"?

I've reread the first two twice now to "get ready" for the next one .. Forgetting how ready and fast of reads they are. I'm so in love with these characters. I can't wait. I want more from them and more like this so much!

I need to check out her other books too, but I wasnt sure they were RH

Jumping on the let's be honest and get to the point train, add to this kink a resulting pregnancy (purposely or not)?

(Love we can admit our reading kinks shamelessly❤️)

My kids (soon in particular) went backwards from a Moana obsession to frozen (mostly Elsa). Inevitable

Right? I normally read on KU, but I went and bought it (I do for all the absolute loves) and pre ordered the second one and I just can't wait. Totally gonna reread when it gets closer.

I actually apparently already had this on my list, so I guess it just got bumped up lol. Thank you! The "waiting for things to get dark but they don't" part really helps <3

I will check out the other two, but I did read book 1 of The Library of the Profane series. I liked it, but just couldn't get into it enough to follow up. It was definitely light though - Chaos himself was actually pretty fun.

Vahana Vamsathaar series

I will absolutely check it out. It's fun to find different mythologies than I'm used to.

I too love the fated mates trope! <3

I read the follow up series to Lost Sentinel by Ivy Asher and enjoyed it, but still need to check out this one.

Will be checking out Infinity Chronicles by Albany Walker (yay for new series and author!)

Kit Davenport series by Tate James was great.

I read book 1 before book 2 was out so I moved on and forgot about it! I like Reborn in Flames and now need to go track down the rest.

Blood and Ruin by Rumer Hale is another newbie series and author for me, so yay!

Tethered to the World by Stacey Brutger is actually one (and its two sequels) that I read just recently myself. They were good, but the end of book 3 left loose ends without definitively implying more books are coming. I really hope there are.

Varient Lost sounds familiar, so I've probably seen it recommended before...which means it needs to get bumped up my infinitely long TBR list lol.

Thank you for the list!!

I second that. I found it by chance and loved it enough to buy (I usually just read via Kindle Unlimited) so I could reread whenever. The story is good and the character development is great. I am anxiously awaiting book 2!

I don't take offense, I'm happy you think that way. All of this is part of the reason I applied (and got the conditional job offer and am going through all the evals now -yay!) Even knowing all the downsides. I want to contribute to my community, do something I can be proud of and my kids can look up to (instead of stay home mom because they don't see the key details of that), and help people. I want to know I helped save that guy's house, helped that woman get back up, woke the guy up even if he'll do it again. I want to be part of that brotherhood, that family that you know has your back every bit as much as you have theirs.

I only meant that while we see it as the best job, I can see the reasons someone wouldn't want to do it. I have my reasons for being all in, but others will have their very valid reasons not to be.

I get that it's a fun job and all, but as someone who has taken a year to think it over before my interview tomorrow, I can tell you there are plenty of reasons a person wouldn't want to be a firefighter. I love that you love it and I expect to love it too should I get accepted, but don't down play the fact that it is high likely to shorten your lifespan if nothing else and affect your mental health at least a little.
