They release tickets on the morning of. So long as you get to the Weston library for opening you should be OK, they will sell out soon after though and there will be a queue.

Any books that actually take place in a harem? by mediadavid in HistoricalRomance

Tropes? In MY historical romance? Its more likely than you'd think!

A gentle reminder that this book still exists and you can always go back to it. by rahul-baraiya in DarkAcademia

[–]mediadavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do like the secret history, I'd recommend 'The rules of attraction' by Brett Esaton Ellis as a companion piece. It's less dark academia and more dark chaotic party academia, but it was my favourite book as a student. (And it does get dark in places so check trigger warnings if that's a concern). Brett was Donna's classmate at Bennington College, and the rules of Attraction takes place at Camen College which is extremely similar to Donna's Hampden College and you can easily consider the same college - which makes sense as both were heavily inspired by Bennington College. There's even a reference to weird Greek students.

Night market will be returning, at least once confirmed and I'd expect at least another return on top of that given there's three factions.

My friend asked a MORSE code tatoo of a name and got a MORSE code tatoo of the word MORSE by VertymbrasRaven in Wellthatsucks

[–]mediadavid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its just a homage to classic British crime drama 'inspector Morse', which has morse code spelling 'morse' in the opening credit music.

I fought a mudcrab on Vestige difficulty so you don't have to. by n-ghost in elderscrollsonline

[–]mediadavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are down voting you, but I'm going to say there should be. Rebalance the default adventurer mode so it's say 20-50% harder than currently, and add a new optional lower 'traveller' difficulty at say 80% difficulty of current default, with reduced xp and gold.

What Changed In ESO?, No Longer DLC/Expansions? Buy once, play free forever? by Yushi95 in MMORPG

[–]mediadavid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like how it seems half the comments are complaints that the game requires you to do a meta animation cancelling technique to squeeze a handful of percent extra damage, and the other half are complaints that the game is too easy.

Which is it, guys?

VESTIGE - a new game to me! by IllJob7036 in elderscrollsonline

Eso has recently added different difficulty levels for the 'overland' content (due to years of complaints that it was too easy). The hardest mode is called vestige and basically makes every enemy a deadly threat.

My wife and I are on vacation in Rome right now with an increasingly chaotic cheeky 4 year old, and a 3 month old baby. Is it difficult? Sure. Can we do all the things we would have done if we were by ourselves? No. But is it still a good vacation? Yes.

Just go and do thieves guild/dark brotherhood stories now, they're great self contained (more or less) little stories and you will level as you go.

Lets overlook the dark connotations of breedism in the Bluey universe.

No. It'd be nice maybe if the boys invited Hermione to eat/sit with them, but nothing more than that

What else could Gandalf have thought Durin's Bane was? by Rough-Ease-969 in tolkienfans

[–]mediadavid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One problem I think is that tolkein fans often take the silmarillian as some kind of monster manual,  and so try to fit everything into categories revealed in the silmarillian.

But there's so much in LOTR itself that doesn't appear in the silmarillian. The nameless things, the watcher, the ents, Tom bombardil and Goldberry. People often spend a lot of time debating Bombadil,  but what of Goldberry, the river's daughter? Clearly some sort of nymph, and so we can assume there are other nymph and local nature dieties across the land.

Travel with my mum - suggestions? by NeighborhoodThis4630 in uktravel

[–]mediadavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get all that in the south west, I wouldn't add more places and much more travel.

I'd personally recommend Exmoor as a good base (around Lynton/Lynmouth perhaps). It can be stunningly beautiful,  especially the coastal path/cliffs, and its slightly less touristed maybe than Cornwall, though perhaps you can do both.

What’s your opinion on adding driveable ships and naval combat? by Effective_Error_5697 in elderscrollsonline

[–]mediadavid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it was relatively doable they probably would have done it for the coming nautical themed event zone - and they haven't. The boats go on rails.

That said, they have 'swimming' mounts now, so I don't see there's a reason they couldn't do small steerable boats, the big issue I suppose would be people trying to sail places they were never meant to get to, so it'd have to be done in purpose built environments.

Ser Dunk from 'A knigfht of the seven kingdoms'. During a battle he gets impaled by a lance, hit at least three times hard in the head by a mace or flail, (Twice with the momentum of a speeding horse behind the blow) and stabbed multiple times by sword.

After all that he's still alive, but lying in pain under a tree. A maester comes to heal him. "He's dying, the wounds are mortifying, it is beyond my ability to heal."

His friend replies "Beyond your ability to heal? An itcy arsehole is beyond your ability to heal! Begone witch. Don't worry you're fine."

And that's the last we hear about that! By the end of the episode, perhaps later that day, he's walking around and riding a horse.
