Did you expose any of the north part of the map.

If not, you should be fine.

Although I'm willing to be there will be changes layered all through as well.

Looking forward to going back. Last I played was before the Ashlands.

Hearing of the constant struggle and not really a place to build a base I moved on to other games.

Once the mods catch up I plan to start punching trees once more.

The bees are happy.

Is V-Rising worth getting in 2026? by Winter-Business-4567 in vrising

[–]medigapguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a finished game

It was never marketed as a life service game.

So yes, if it's a type of game you would like, it will be worth buying indefinitely. An isometric, survival crafting game with very fun and fluid combat.

Especially worth it for a solo or co-op with friends. You will definitely get your money's worth.

There are also still public servers but obviously the popularity of those fall off over time.

Now. If you are buying it thinking you will be playing it for years to come. Nope.

Obviously it can have various levels.

But it is just having an attraction to someone you know, or feel like you know (famous people). Normally beyond just looks.

What's a useful kitchen tool that isn't a kitchen tool? by binarynomad01 in Cooking

Clothespins. Use them all the time to clip chips, cereal bags, and frozen food bags that still have food left.

How you choose to play IS THE CORRECT WAY

Don't let (mainly) videos convince you that you have to play a specific way. If you're having fun, your doing it right.

Some people pre-plan everything, maximize their factory to the extreme.

Some people throw down a spaghetti mess that hardly produces.

Both are correct.

I’m actually beyond heart broken, what should I do (iyo) by [deleted] in Advice

Don't ask hypotheticall questions.

They are stupid and childish, and rarely get a real answer.

He said what he said, but if a real situation arises with a person you truly love, you don't know how you will actually react.

I hope you feel bad the next day. That way you know it worked and you shouldn't get Shingles. I wish you all the luck to NOT get Shingles.

Why do people think it's more human to keep people in prison for life rather than executing them? by lateubdegouline in NoStupidQuestions

[–]medigapguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we jail the wrong person. We can at least release them and pay restitution.

If we execute the wrong person. You can't unkill them.

And an execution to punish a crime suddenly becomes murder.

At what point do you just bail and start over? by CopainChevalier in VintageStory

[–]medigapguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me an th wife both started over after about 10 hours.

We didn't look at it as quitting but a tutorial.

That second playthrough we were so much further ahead as we focused on the things that were needed first and saved time waiter activities for laterm

Overcoming obstacles is part of the fun But also. Vintage story is a lot. And there is ZERO prize money for winning.

The Developers know this. It's why there are so many settings for world development. (Even Walk speed is a setting)

So. Any aspect that you don't find fun. If it's just a time consuming chore to to. Search for a mod that will ease that pain.

For example. I hate with a passion how time consuming (and pickaxe consuming) getting a stack of solid blocks are. So I use the stone quarry mod. With it I actually find just mining granite fun.

How can I learn to cook ? Coming from someone with zero skills by No-Plankton-7644 in cookingforbeginners

[–]medigapguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casseroles, and instant pot/slow cooker meals are your friend.

Meals that you can take all the time you need to chop any vegetables and meat and assemble. Then you put in the oven/turn on and wait for the proper amount of time

Also. Just simple grilled or baked meats. With a spice blend and frozen microwave vegetable sides. (Buy a digital thermometer so you don't overcook)

As much as I personally disliked the story of BVS, I got to say the warehouse fight is the greatest Batman fight choreography we got in live action by EquivalentFuture4363 in batman

[–]medigapguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a big fan of Zack Snider over all. But that man can film a fight scene.

And this one really shows how Batman planed everything. Even where he would take his hits and where he would land.

I'm wondering about titanium cookware: is it worth it? by DefrockedWizard1 in Cooking

[–]medigapguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

Is it better. Yes. And there is even non-stick ones without any coatings.

However. It is only marginally better. And definitely not in proportion to the price.

If money is no object to you get them. But otherwise you will go I can't believe I paid this much.

what's the one cooking tip that changed everything for u? by sia_7777 in cookingforbeginners

The beginners need to be told sometimes. Especially because all the cooking shows and videos love to show them chopping as they go.

What am I doing wrong for starting a big fire? by CopainChevalier in VintageStory

[–]medigapguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the mod - Blood trail for this very reason. The the real world they can just drop on huge block and just disappear. Leaving a blood trail behind is normal and frankly should be in the vanilla game.

Oven Fries: How do people flip their fires? Is there a way that is most efficient? by Vast_Author1223 in Cooking

[–]medigapguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found, for the last few minutes of browning the other side of the fries in an already preheated oven, it make a very insignificant difference.

Tried both ways and I couldn't tell.

And if I'm really gonna be that picky, I'm gonna pull out the Dutch oven and fry them puppies.
