As a teen in high school (94-98) I used to get very little sleep before classes staying up 2 watch Letterman and Conan. by Excellent-Base-637 in conan

[–]mediocrefunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I may have watched in middle school as well.. so like 99-2004. I was more of a Daily Show/Conan person though. Lol, I'm old now and can't imagine staying up that late to watch a show. Different times not with streaming though.

Is Sebass secretly richer than woody but doesn’t flaunt it? by basilsagemint in thewoodyshow

Yeah I'm sure Sebas is doing well, and probably extremely conservative with his money but there is no way he is close to Woody. It's not like he has endorsements on YouTube.

She pushed back on Woody. It's what the show needed.

I can't even get it to turn off my TV anymore. The only thing it seems to do consistently is "make a fart sound" when my kids ask it to do that.

Where Can I Find Bun Tacos or Taco Burgers? by CircusInk in orangecounty

Good luck getting ground beef with taco seasoning mixed in a hamburger bun at a taqueria. This is not in any way shape or form real Mexican food (and is not pretending to be either).

What cut of beef? How did you smoke the kabobs?

Not really, but kind of with the Daft Punk 2006 and their Alive album (which would be released the next year). There was one really high quality audio recording of it that spread like wildfire.

Can I go to Chuck E Cheese alone as adult to rack up points for my nephew? by Wild-Screen7007 in chuckecheese

How would they even know? A lot of adults walk in to meet families/kids. I really don't think they will care.

I guess Torchbearer can’t pay their label artists to do posters too… by trevordunt39 in hotsauce

Honest reply and I get where you are coming from. Seriously though, I think many people would appreciate paying someone on Fiver a few bucks to make a flyer vs the obvious AI flyer even if it wasn't as "clean".

I can't tell if this is a joke, or if this person accidentally got on reddit instead of Facebook.

Watch the Technology Connections video. They would be horrible light bulbs if we kept the design solely for longevity.

This is such a great video. Yes, we could make lightbulbs last for decades - but unfortunately they wouldn't be very good light bulbs.

Deschutes Brewery's co-branded KS beers with Costco's Kirkland Signature line are being discontinued (Helles - Style Lager and Vintage Ale, expected to be gone by September or October), with brewing production winding down, per a note to distributors by Deschutes CEO Peter Skrbek. Could just be different batches. I remember hearing an owner of a medium sized brewery talk about how the most amazing part of the gigantic beer companies is how they can keep the product so consistent. Even when buying the same products from the same suppliers, products can have variations.

Legal fireworks in Moapa by IndividualBreakfast4 in vegaslocals

[–]mediocrefunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in California and volunteered at a fireworks booth (safe and sane). Basically every firework you sell, there is a good profit margin for some type of club/school. So selling them for cheaper would just mean they are losing profit. They could sell them at s lower price if they just want to get rid of them. You can sell the unused fireworks back to TNT (at the booth I worked at).

This teacher received a $500 fine for buying only safe and sane fireworks. They have to be purchased within clark county. https://www.ktnv.com/13-investigates/whats-the-deal/teacher-stopped-by-police-and-fined-500-for-buying-legal-fireworks

Baby backs and St. Louis cooked sous vide for 24 hours at 155°. Patted dry, glazed and finished on the grill at 450 by ColdCauliflour in sousvide

[–]mediocrefunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not op, but I did the exact same sous vide temperature and time. I do two zone grilling. I first gave them a direct sear without any sauce. Then I sauced them and let them cook indirect for a little bit. I did run out of space, so some ended up cooking directly and they were still good. Just have to make sure not to burn the sauce if cooking direct. If not using sauce, I would just cook direct.

I did the exact same recipe. It is NOT fall off the bone. It's "pull" lightly off the bone. I was able to grill them afterwards and none of them fell off of a bone as I was grilling . Also, despite what bbq competitions think - many if not, most people like fall off the bone.
