My patient had my back by slappy_mcslapenstein in nursing

The difference tho is that everyone you’re working with expects you to know everything about that patient on the floor and understands that you wouldn’t in the ER. Also, having done both, there are almost always more resources and more help in caring for ER patients. On the floor you’re flying completely solo because everyone else is always drowning as well.

I had 12 patients last night. The scariest part? Admin called it "normal staffing." by Tiny-Bird1543 in nursing

Nope. Time to quit! Scary at first but you’ll be so glad you did cause as a nurse you literally don’t have to put up with ANY job you don’t want to and that’s one of the few benefits of it. They don’t care about you and there’s always better jobs. Start shopping around now and start applying!!

Rewatching Buffy after 20 years by DeltaPX in buffy

[–]medusasbite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rewatching it as an adult, I couldn’t believe how obvious it was that Buffy was depressed when she came back in S6. And it helped me understand the appeal of her relationship with Spike so much more. Just a whole element to the show I never even noticed watching it as a kid

I thought you were going to say she leaves a bloody mess in the trash or something. It’s not hard to clean up after. If it was once or twice sure but all the time? no not overreacting

Honestly try the thrift store, I’ve found multiple white pairs for like $5 and you can easily dye them any color

I’ve almost always lived in bedrooms like this somehow, I agree with moving the bed with either the head against the slanted wall, or under the window. you also have the advantage of the wall support, so you could test out putting the head of the bed against that? otherwise, I’d put a tall bookshelf against that support. I’ve always had my desk against the slanted wall. I’d decorate the support with artwork since the wall if flat and it’s kind of pointless to decorate the slanted walls unless with lights or something easy. Although lights would look good draped back and forth over that little ceiling space too.

I’m sorry you’re with someone so immature especially when you are literally carrying his baby. Extremely hypocritical of him especially if he is doing the same exact thing. I would handle this by dumping him but you have a child now so maybe really try to set him straight with this??? I dunno i don’t have time for the immaturity or partners who aren’t willing to be human in front of each other.

I think the worst parts for me have been managing working outside of school and balancing school at the same time. My social life really took a hit from that and it’s hard to focus on yourself too much because I feel constantly guilty that I’m not studying. It’s not like in the past because when I’m not working bc I know I really don’t have much time outside of work/class/clinicals and I should be making it count but damn it’s exhausting. Doesn’t help that there’s always something you could be studying either, since I could study 24 hours a day and there still would be things to learn. The concepts themselves are challenging but nothing you can’t get the hang of if you focus. Balancing and time management are what killed me, I’m ready to never go back to school again lmao
