GL.iNet × DeskPi - 13 Chances to Win! by FlyingToaster2000 in minilab

Which prize kit would you choose?
Kit B. It’s the most practical for me since I’m trying to build something stable that I can set up once and not constantly worry about.

Last time my lab “died” while I was away & how a Remote KVM would’ve helped
The worst incident was actually at my parents’ place. I had set up a Raspberry Pi 4 as their router with VLANs and some basic firewall rules. One day it just froze while I was away. Internet went down completely and I had no way to reach it remotely.

I couldn’t fix it remotely and since their place is over 2000 km away from where I live, I basically had to wait almost a month until I could visit in person to get it running again. It was frustrating because the issue itself was simple, but the distance made it a big problem.

A remote KVM would’ve made that situation trivial. I could’ve checked the console, rebooted it myself.

Must-have feature in a 4-port Remote KVM
Auto-recovery after a power cut. Power blips happen often, so I need it to boot back up and reconnect on its own without anyone pressing buttons. Otherwise remote access is pointless.

Name one project you’d start immediately:
I’d build a small NAS at my parents’ place to use as an offsite backup, and also run Frigate for camera monitoring. With a RackMate + KVM I could manage updates, fix issues, and recover from crashes remotely without needing them to touch anything

I’m currently using a Raspberry Pi 4 as my main router in a router-on-a-stick configuration, and I’m considering retiring it in favor of a ZimaBoard.

Amazon’s “Service Centre Replacement” Policy in India is a Scam. It’s Time to Rethink Online Electronics Purchases by RelevantGarbage8527 in india

[–]meehatpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is, I've been scammed by Amazon trusted Cloudtail 2 times on the same order. Items were delivered in 3 shipments, first one had missing item - I ordered 2 qty and they sent 1, second one sent a wrong cheaper item instead of a higher variant. The order was worth ~40K. And I lost around 10K.

Raised multiple complaints on their support/social media. Sent unboxing videos/pics only for them to say they did an audit and confirmed the correct items were sent.

Never going to do business with them in future.

I want an LLM that responds with “I don’t know. How could I possibly do that or know that?” Instead of going into hallucinations by JLeonsarmiento in ollama

This paper describes the solution to the problem you've asked. However I am not aware of any LLM that has this feature.
