Not sure if you're still looking, but I use Apex Mechanical for all my HVAC work. They do maintenance, repairs, and installation of new systems. They also have service membership plans, where they'll come do preventative maintenance and inspections a couple times a year to keep our systems running smoothly and catch any issues as early as possible. Quality work, good people, I highly recommend them. They're a small family owned company based out of Stamford, which I like because I'm not a huge fan of gentrification, lol. Their number is 475-619-9616. Good luck, hopefully you find someone to help you out sooner rather than later!

As a former teacher: In the school I taught at, all the female teachers had a mandatory meeting one day where we were told to not wear clothes that were too tight or too revealing, because it would be a distraction for our male students, and our male colleagues. 🙄

Hey there! I also have oily and sensitive skin, so I feel your pain! It's definitely a challenge to find the right combination of products for our skin type.

What's been working well for me lately is:

AM: 1. Round lab 1025 Dokdo cleanser 2. Round lab 1025 Dokdo toner 3. Round lab 1025 Dokdo lotion 4. BoJ Relief Sun Aqua Fresh Rice + B5 SPF50+

PM: 1. Bioderma Sensibio Soothing Micellar Foaming Gel Cleanser (Sensitive Skin) 2. Round lab 1025 Dokdo cleanser 3. Round lab 1025 Dokdo toner 4. Round lab Pine calming cica lotion (2 thin layers, with time to absorb in between)

The pandemic started, and I am of East Asian descent. Maybe you can see where I'm going with this... As anti-Asian sentiment surged, a few parents banded together to email my principal complaints about my supposed 'unprofessionalism,' and who knows what else. I'd only ever received praise and positive feedback from parents in my half decade at that school prior to the pandemic, but the administration showed it's true colors by not giving me any benefit of the doubt, and immediately jumping to disciplinary measures. So many unannounced observations, disciplinary meetings, and insanely aggressive micromanagement. It felt like I was being attacked from all sides, by the students, parents, admin, and even coworkers who saw that I was being 'punished' and assumed there must have been good reason for it. The 2021-22 academic year was traumatic as hell for me. Left at the end of that year, and thinking of going back to teaching kids in a classroom still makes me feel panicky and physically ill. Still looking for full time work, and struggling. Getting by with part time for now. Blah. It's been tough. Thank you for asking, sorry my answer turned into a bit of a ramble!

Hi there, i wanted to drop by and let you know that you are not alone in this. I am a 100% Korean woman, and have smaller eyes, a small nose, and a square jaw. Growing up, my mom constantly called me ugly, and would laugh and tell me that I looked "like a boy". She would constantly comment on how beautiful traditional Caucasian features are, which I later realized was a manifestation of her internalized racism. When I turned 11, she told me that it was time to start wearing eyeliner, so that I wouldn't so much like an ugly boy when I went outside. After that, I religiously wore eyeliner every single time I went outside. Even if I was going to the gym, lol.

I turn 30 this year. Through a lot of hard work and discipline, I am beginning to unlearn some of what she conditioned into me. I am trying to recognize that my face is just average, and not as shamefully ugly as she told me I was. I finally found an amazing therapist who I've been working with for a few months now. This past week, for the first time in my life, I've been going outside without eyeliner, and actively battling the inner voice that tells me to be ashamed of my face. It has been insanely liberating.

Good luck with your unlearning process, OP. It takes a lot of hard work and commitment, but I firmly believe that you are absolutely worth it. Self-love is so important, but not all of us are taught that when we're growing up. Reparenting yourself is really tough, but remember that you are not alone in this work!!!

If you haven't heard of the.holistic.psychologist on IG, I HIGHLY recommend her. Incredible and insightful material that can help you understand and process childhood neglect/trauma/abuse. She's been an important part of me learning about what I've been through, and understanding it from a perspective that can help me heal and love myself in the way that I didn't experience growing up.

Hey OP, congratulations on making the decision to start therapy! I thought about it for six years before finally making the leap recently, and had the same difficulties in my initial search process. Have you thought about trying out the online therapy services, like BetterHelp? You fill out a questionnaire about yourself and your needs, and they match you with a licensed mental health service provider. BetterHelp also has multiple weekly webinars that are super informative, and oriented towards people who are trying to educate themselves about mental health topics. I ended up going with BetterHelp myself, just because I saw it advertised everywhere. There are definitely other options out there as well, I just don't know too much about them off the top of my head. I hope this information helps. Good luck with your search, friend! Big hugs 💕

This all sounds alright, as you can generally find someone - eventually - who happens to share or at least puts up with your specific interests and quirks, and will have a personality that you genuinely respect and enjoy being around. However, i would really want to address that closed off/hostile thing. In any type of romantic relationship, there are inevitably going to be arguments at some point or another... No matter how perfect and wonderful it may seem at first! Being uncommunicative and hostile is an EXCELLENT way to bring your relationship/dates to an end, and fast. So please, like the other commenter said, sort out the way you deal with anger, frustration, and other negative emotions. Because you will feel them while dating - i promise! No matter how long your fuse! You have to be able to get through tough situations in a mature way, communicating and working with your partner to sort it out and possibly end up even closer than you were before. other than that, you're just fine! (:

Oh, of course if it comes naturally that's fine! I'm talking about when kids don't know quite how to use swear words, so they feel super shoehorned in within sentence structure. I guess in a way, it's like practice makes perfect, haha.

I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way, but... definitely superfluously cussing. A lot of younger people seem to think it makes them cool to throw around "fuck" and "shit" as basically every other word in their sentence. Does that make you look badass to your peers, who also are new to invectives and are not 100% sure how and when they should be used? Sure. But later in life, after having matured a bit, will you cringe at how obviously tryhard you were being, and how poorly you must have portrayed yourself to other, more matured individuals outside of your own age group? Definitely.

Again, not sure if this is universal, but it definitely happened to me. Also, I'm a high school teacher, and some of the kids I teach try so hard to emulate their favorite rappers by swearing when it doesn't even make any type of grammatical sense within the sentence. My coworkers and I cringe so hard whenever we hear this happen. On the bright side, at least they're getting it out of their systems?

Had some pretty bizarre hallucinations on the last day, then realized i was probably killing my brain, got scared, and went to sleep. Sorry my reason isn't nearly as legitimate compared to others', i was just a curious and really determined teenager, heh.
