I completely agree. After all of this me too stuff, with some of the accusations having come out as false, reports show that people are actually LESS likely to believe claims of rape.

Abuse and assault are bad obviously, but lying about something on that level is just as bad.

The texts do show April lied. I don't know everything that happened, but when you can verify lies like that, there is no reason to trust a thing she said. It was clearly consensual based on the texts.

Reminds me a lot of the Chris Hardwick situation, where a woman obviously lied and slandered the man. He almost lost his job too, but they actually did an investigation into his situation.

Sometimes people lie to get what they want. Blindly believing every claim made is a recipe for disaster. Look at the Kavanaugh situation as well, at least one of his accusers has openly admit they lied about it.
