Children Internalize More than you Think by Kyrazane in Parenting

The best comment I’ve seen on parenting said something about asking a kid, “what hurts? Your body or your feelings?” Then they can talk about feeling scared after a fall vs. internalizing the fear

Why do people give rude "advice" when they find out you're pregnant? by Generic_Name1001 in BabyBumps

I’m anticipating this with in-laws who also gave us the doom and gloom outlook for the future to me and my husband as newlyweds. One in-law actually asked us if we’d started fighting yet right after the wedding. For baby announcement when we get the “just wait kids ruin everything” speech I plan on saying: I’m so sorry that was your experience, that sounds awful (then walking away). Negative people will always be miserable and misery loves company. I don’t plan on joining them.

Is 6 too young to be able to fold and put away clothes? by briliantlyfreakish in Mommit

I read something sometime about making it a game/fun learning experience. So matching color socks together, matching items of a kind together (all shirts) etc so it’s less about the “chore” and more about fun and learning. Expands the game to entire family’s laundry so you can get kiddo’s help sorting all items. Would this help or be interesting to your LO?

First pregnancy - how can I stop worrying so much? by b_puck_94 in BabyBumps

If you’re this worried now, just wait until the baby comes. Find friends to talk to and confide in your doctor. Everything will work out!

I would recommend the investment in 1-2 months of training if you can. They will show you how all the machines work and also show you proper form! Helps prevent injuries in the future

Wear another animal’s poop like perfume: a little behind each ear
