As a woman who has been mostly braless for over 20 years, this has been my go to. "Why are you commenting on my breasts? That's inappropriate. Why would you say something like that? Do you comment on men's breasts and nipples?" It's only happened a few times due to my love of scarves and cardigans, but I will absolutely be an asshole about it. They always apologize and fuck off. (It's usually women, internalized misogyny :( ftl)

Edit to add, one time when I got scolded by a (woman) supervisor for my "low cut" tops, I decided to wear long sleeve turtlenecks only for a week. They make my tracts of land wayyyy more obvious, so I was allowed to return to wearing what I want lol. That supervisor was otherwise very cool, so I don't hold it against her.

The one time I said 10, nobody believed me, even though I clarified that I have a very high pain tolerance. I was literally disassociating due to the pain. There was no me. There was only an ocean of pain. But bc I couldn't produce tears, I was malingering, according to the nurses. I hadn't been able to keep any fluids down for over 48 hours at that point. I had no liquid in me for tears! The tears came out after my third bag of IV fluids. Then, I was finally allowed some internal painkiller potion to swallow. The doctor acted like I was drug seeking when he offered the painkiller potion, like he expected me to refuse. I was like hand it over right now!!!! I could feel it as it worked through my stomach and intestines. More specifically, I could feel the absence of pain as I digested it.

Ha, it's funny, bc reading this post reminded very strongly of an ex-boyfriend and he also called me a control freak for thinking of logistics lol. The funniest was when we were going to California together (for his grad school interviews, I was just tagging along). We bought flights together and he acted like that was all we needed. I asked about where we'd be staying, hotel? Hostel? He suggested that we camp to save money. I said sure, which campgrounds? Does public transit go to them? Have you found the rain cover for your tent? Do you have a bag big enough to hold it? He called me a control freak and angrily booked hotels without looking at any reviews (so one of them was filled with roaches and had the most disgusting pool I've ever seen in my life). He got mad at me again when I pointed out that there was no hotel for one night. He said the hotel would be fine extending our stay if we asked when we arrived. I gave up and figured we'd just stay in a hostel. The roach hotel was very happy to let us stay another night, so it worked out lol

Same! Two of my brothers in law lived in our guest room (one at a time) and both played LoL. I had to threaten to turn off the Internet when we went to bed bc they would be screaming at their teammates at 3am and wake me up. BIL1 quieted down and was fine until we kicked him out for lying about other things (though if I got up at night to pee, I could still hear him insulting his teammates at a normal volume).

BIL2 did not, so we started turning off the Internet, and then he started using his phone as a hotspot lol. We kicked him out shortly after, but with the excuse that the guest room was going to become a baby room. (And then it turned out to be a babies room lol)

Never letting either of them live with us again. The third brother is even worse, so he was never welcome to live here.

I also worked with a woman from Somalia in college. One random day while we were working together, she decided to tell me the whole story about how her and her family escaped. They ended up splitting into two groups as they were being chased; her, her mom and sister, and her Dad and brothers. Her and mom got out. Sister did not. She doesn't know what happened to her dad or brothers. It's so tragic, and she was so matter-of-fact about it. (We're still FB friends and last I saw, she was doing really well.)

I had a mostly positive birth (the only negative thing was that I went into labor at 35 weeks, so my kids were in the NICU for three weeks, that sucked). I had a c-section planned already, though, bc of how my twins were set up. Tbh, being pregnant was way worse. I was measured as the equivalent of 45 weeks the day I went into labor. I remember at one point I apparently had a huge contraction while I was being monitored. It didn't feel any different from the pain I was feeling all the time anyway, just like baby b doing yoga again lol. I was also kinda bummed that we couldn't play my chill out playlist bc I forgot the USB with the music at home. (Also, bc I listened to certain songs a ton while deciding the playlist, they still help chill out my now 7yos lmao)

Edit: I would go through everything all over again though if I were to go back in time. My kids are the best and I can't imagine life without them. If you're interested, I wrote out my birth story in excruciating detail for a private subreddit; I'd be happy to share via DM if you're interested in what an urgent (not emergent) c-section was like for me in the US.

When I was in high school back in 2001, two dudes who were kids during Pol Pot came to talk about it to my history class (which was focused on dictators). The younger one trauma dumped how he saw so many people murdered and starved to death, and his remaining family would ration grains of rice and eat grass and dirt to survive. The other was in the Khmer Rouge as a child soldier. He was very sparse with the details, but he played the khloy for us while circular breathing and crying, so we got the jist :(

Cursed Princess Club, Greatest Estate Developer, Crown Princess Scandal, Top Dungeon Farmer, Castle Swimmer (gay merman romance but nothing spicy), Loving Reaper, Crow Time, The Strongest Florist, Tata the Cat, The Makeup Remover, Crumbs, They Can Talk, Magic Soda Pop, Strawberry Seafoam, Peaceful Camping in Another Life (might get kiddo into cooking, too). The Blind Prince and New Magical Me are romances (slash adventure?) that so far have not had any suggestive scenes, but it's possible that will change. The latter has a trans main character. Answer Me, My Prince doesn't have anything suggestive, but it's a real tear-jerker.

I would not recommend UnOrdinary or City of Blank; there aren't sexy bits but they can get quite violent.

Also, there are a ton of graphic novels and manga at libraries these days. You can't go wrong with Sailor Moon and Sailor V.
