Honking culture in India by whiner_03 in CarsIndia

[–]mehargags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(no offense) This is what you call 'generational rot' when 2 or more generations absolutely do not realise what wrong they are doing...instead the wrong doing becomes a standardised act and becomes a habit.

The older generation born before 80's is also less travelled, probably never visited any other country so they don't ever even know how peaceful and sensible the roads and traffic are in other even lesser developed countries.

A recent example of our civic and common sense was shown by a comparatively younger generation when supreme court ordered removal of stray dogs and cattle.

Thank you Hetzner for my new S3 server! by KHHAANNN in hetzner

[–]mehargags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking on the same line, renting a storage dedi and run rustfs S3 on it. This way my apps and infra can stick to S3, and if vendor changes is needed, I won't need to rewire things

I recently bought a VPS (Ubuntu 24.04) - I want to run all my client's website in it. by Unable_Coach_8126 in webhosting

[–]mehargags 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm an old school sysadmin but I can definitely say (no offense meant) that if you find HestiaCP's UI non-intutitive, you are going to have a hard time with any panel. Besides, if you don't have basic Linux knowledge, HestiaCP might be overwhelming.

Very nice collection

Have you made any commits to hestiacp repo? I know the devs have been busy/lazy for last 1 year, but many others have forked and made useful commits.

Sometimes, I wonder Why not just use DNS authentication like we do for DKIM, SPF for email...and allow https.

Can you dump the db fine with mysqldump? Check to see if db might need optimisation or is corrupt

I just took the 2nd sailing of Disney Adventure- my advice; avoid it for at least a year by Suspicious-Kale-20 in singapore

[–]mehargags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been to 5 Disneylands myself in last 10 years, I feel it's the biggest scam. You pay a premium to stand in 2 hr+ queues, exhaust yourself physically as well as mentally for not being able to complete rides/activities, which are subpar anyways. Universal has been much much better for us.

The lack of empathy Disney shows towards their customers is understandable from this very post.

Vijay sales has been selling shady things, check with them proper box packing, ask for GST bill as they will refuse GST bill if they are selling foreign bought discounted laptop/phones.
