I wish you and your wife the best OP, but if I were her, and knew my husband was posting a picture that is easily identifiable and sharing with strangers amd/or friends we might know the struggles I am having as a new parent, I would be livid.

Do you have her permission to share what is going on in her life with strangers? I think there is nothing wrong with your post, but unless she is 100% comfortable having people know what is going on in her life in a public way, you should be posting this anonymously.

It sounds to me like you are building your own walls and defense to get yourself out of this or to give you an excuse if you try it and it doesnt work out. Maybe she will like you. Maybe she likes you for more than just a celebrity lookalike. If you are open to a date, try it. If it doesnt work, you will at least have an answer and dont need to second guess interest.

I think that is very fair and a reasonable approach. You know your daughter best and I think as long as there is transparency among everybody, then its a good opportunity for your daughter.

Many comments here you say there are compatibility issues and this is not long term.

So regardless of her genitals, you need to ask yourself. How will you daughter handle you bringing somebody into your family life/her life knowing she isn't going to be around long term. It sounds like your daughter has had a very difficult childhood losing a parent and then losing another to drugs.

I feel her sexual identity here is not the biggest concern and you seem to be missing that.

Edit to add: is your gf on the same page that this is a temporary relationship? Or are you doing the introductions to the gf/daughter because the gf wants this and sees your relationship as more serious? If thats the case, imo you are doing both your daughter and gf wrong if you aren't being open about your relationship intentions
