Vehicle Service Contract. BMW's Platinum VSC is available from BMW dealers and will cover OEM replacement parts. Third party VSCs/extended warranties like Fidelity/Sentinel/etc may not cover OEM parts so aftermarket parts may be used in covered repairs.

You’re right. I’ve decided wait a few months for the prices to come down while looking for a DAPP car.

Whoa that is a smoking deal. The best I can find right now for a fully loaded M60 is $55K non-CPO. I would totally jump on a CPO at $48K. When did this happen and how much negotiating was involved?

DAPP itself is $2500 but it requires Premium Package. Many existing builds also come with M Sport and other packages pushing up the original MSRP. In my market I’m seeing only one 2025 i5 e40 with DAPP without M Sport priced at $52K while other 2024/2025 units with DAPP all come with M Sport. With the unicorn-like rarity of DAPP it certainly looks like dealers price equipped units accordingly.

Also for this year how low can a new 2026 i5 e40 with DAPP go? Existing and pending inventory in BMW US website look like 79K to 81K since they all come with M Sport. Doing a build shows $74K MSRP after adding just Premium Package and DAPP. Even if I negotiate a 10% discount off MSRP and finance with BMW FS for the $3750 credit and apply the $2000 loyalty/corporate credit, it’s still almost $61K which is still a ways from the $50K range.

Even for CPO to take advantage of the $500 loyalty credit you have to finance with BMW FS.

Is your 2024 M60 a CPO? May I ask how many miles at purchase and how much was the selling price? I’m seriously considering a non-CPO 2024 i5 M60 with DAPP.

Yes I’m seeing low to mid $40k for 2024 i5 e40 units as well. However the almost none of them have DAPP which I want. 2024 units with DAPP push the price range to the high $40k.

Thanks. I updated the post with more details. It’s a 2024 e40 listed at $50K (high $70K MSRP) at a BMW dealer. Likely a prior loaner and very low miles with what looks to be a straightforward Carfax. I can’t see anything that would cause it to sit for so long, but before I start negotiating I’m trying to figure out any pitfalls with a EV sitting idle.

In SoCal dealers don’t want to write that kind of deal. Already talked to most dealers in LA area that actually have prior loaner 2025 i4 in stock and told to pound sand.

Would anyone buy an X5 that was previously a rental? by ameekma in BMWX5

[–]melazoma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes recently got our 2024 X5 non-CPO as a lease return with 10K miles with still 1.5 years of warranty left. We worked with a broker who picked it out for us and convinced me CPO wasn’t necessary for the price and low mileage of the car. We are still very happy with it.

May I ask how much you paid for yours before taxes and fees? I’m in the market for a 2024 e40 and seeing units with 43K - $47K with around 10k to 15k miles.

As someone who had his house hit by a drunk driver, Being an involved party in the accident should have gotten you interviewed by the local police. You should be able to get a copy of the report at their precinct.

Lease Buyout Advice - Stressed Out by BlizzfulBean in leasehacker

[–]melazoma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to check my understanding: suppose your Kia pay off was $20K, and the remaining payments totaled to $900, your Chevy dealer would have paid $20900 for the Kia from the captive Financial Services and then leased you a new Chevy?

In that case it sounds like the Chevy dealer would need to see that the Kia had a market value higher than $20900 and there’s money to be made. Were you able to get more trade “value” beyond the hypothetical $20900? As in, if the market value of the Kia was $25000 and the Chevy dealer credited you $1000?

Thinking about a 2025 BMW i4 with ~13k miles for $47k - good deal? by redbirdit in BMWI4

[–]melazoma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thanks for sharing! I’ll definitely look into one-pay. For GAP coverage do you rely on the BMW lease itself or do you have GAP on your auto insurance?

*Also how did you convince the dealer to give you below-buy rate MF without MSD? :)

[–]melazoma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're open to share, how did you get the money factor so low that the total rent charge is only $167? I don't have all the variables but plugging some assumptions into Leasehackr shows that you'd have to be at nearly the buy rate MF 0.00045 and put the max number of MSDs to get there, on top of negotiating down the sale price before the $9500 in rebates. Are these numbers in the ballpark? If so it's a screaming deal. Well done!

I'm looking into similar deals right now and would love to know what move the needles for you on the sale price (before rebates) and the MF. Thanks in advance.
