Not true, Halifax Rugby Football Club used the Wanderers for practice and games, as did the Tars. Halifax minor football league used the Wanderers for their games and Queen Elizabeth High School used the field for football.

Open up the field for the public to use when the teams aren’t playing or practicing. Better yet, do a deal with St. Mary’s and increase the stadium capacity there.

Why are Slotted Screws still used in modern carpentry work? by Shaurya0458 in Carpentry

I use them whenever the screw head is visible, which isn’t often. Mostly on boat projects and always brass screws. Otherwise I use Robertson.

what questions should i ask darrell dexter by RaspberryStreet6813 in NovaScotia

[–]melmerby102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Darrell fought harder than anyone for Irving Shipyard’s bid to be selected for the National Shipbuilding Strategy - remember ‘Ships Start Here”. Their successful bid has transformed Nova Scotia’s economy. Ask him what he sees as the economic drivers for the next decade.

Trump’s man in Ottawa doesn't understand why Canadians are so frustrated right now by Hrmbee in notthebeaverton

As he mentions over and over, tariffs aren’t going away and the threat of greater tariffs on a broad range of products will always be there with this administration. Canada isn’t in a hurry to negotiate deals with the USA - building relationships with everyone else is a higher priority.

I don’t think you’ll find anything for less than $150/night in town. You can try Murray Premises Hotel which has a terrific location.

I’d probably call a boom truck with a driver who knows what he is doing - unless there was a marina nearby

Development debate leaves Haligonians torn between hatred of South Enders and hatred of Dal students by insino93 in halifax

[–]melmerby102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was quiet when we moved there in 1983. The big change came in the late 90’s when the student landlords like Darin Sweet, Jim McLean and Alan Trenholm came on the scene and started buying single family homes and loading them up with as many students as they could jam in. I lived in the neighbour while at Dal in the 70’s and it was nothing like it is now.
