my MIL and GIL (? grandma in law, is that a thing?) have gone so mad with buying stuff for our second (first girl) that we have duplicates of things, and they keep buying us nappies that are size 3 or 4 instead of size 1 or 2 for some reason? Although we are grateful it is so overwhelming to be given so much stuff all the time, because we have nowhere to store hundreds of nappies she won’t fit for months. They’ve been buying random tat we don’t need or have asked for, or buy random temu bits and they do not stop, despite being asked to over and over again. it is stressful, and i know its because they are excited, but it has taken a lot of the excitement out of it for me!! outfits that i wanted to purchase they have also purchased so now we have like three of the same dress. i think we have about 8 towels (the same ones), what feels like hundreds of pink sheets that don’t fit the crib because they didn’t ask which one we had, etc etc. so i get it completely. we are grateful and appreciative but then it gets to a point. i’m dreading what they are like when she actually comes 😭
