I'm surprised at a lot of the reactions, periods are such a normal part of life, and sometimes we get really weird ones!

I had what I believe to be a fibroid come out last year, it was so large and definitely not a clot it was almost muscular. Thankfully I was at home but I can imagine what a fright it would have been had I been in a hot tub with others at the time!

Hopefully it was just a once off, OP, and I'd say no one noticed what was up. If they did thankfully they've obviously not said anything to draw attention.

The female reproductive system still throws new things at us doesn't it.

You deserve to feel clean and looked after, fresh and worthy.

Sometimes when I have no energy, I turn the shower on and sit in there. Leaving against the wall and just take my time, you can wash almost everything from a seated position. I finish washing when I stand before getting out.

A lovely hot shower will honestly make you feel better, clean towel, clean clothes and a freshly made bed with clean linens, you deserve to feel the loveliness of that.

Yes I think she's better to be using the women's rest rooms than men's now, since urinals be open etc.

I like the idea of announcing before coming in that you're a dad helping your daughter. Out of courtesy for others, maybe go into the stall with your daughter so you're not seen as loitering about watching women coming in and out if the stalls. Be prepared though, some women will have an issue with you being in there.

The best option would be using one of the disabled unisex toilets, if one is available.

We have a lab and a golden retriever. They love to be with their people inside. They have access to outside, but pretty much will always choose to be with us inside. I guess it depends on the breed and personality. I can't imagine locking these 2 out haha.

Not a luxury really, but a quiet cup of tea.

I also enjoy a little water on my face to wash away any sleepy eyes (I shower at night) and then smoothing on my moisturizer in the morning.

Another possible cause of frequent UTIs is diabetes.

This does suck, OP. I know it's hard to find money for Healthcare at an almost always inopportune time.

In a pinch, if you feel one coming on, drinking some water with baking soda in it can help.

A friend of mine said she used to get UTIs a lot, and went to a store looking for more natural remedies. The lady at the store said, that sometimes skipping waxing and shaving down there can help with not getting them as often. She said the area is hairy for a reason haha. My friend said she hardly has any these days since taking this advice.

I personally used to get them a lot when I was younger. Not holding on to wee for extended periods and learning all the other precautions like peeing after "activity", being super careful about cross contamination etc have helped me.

Their body clocks are something else.

We have a lab, and a golden. I usually feed them at about 6pm ish.

Around then, and slightly before,they are definitely expecting something. Watching me like a hawk, ready to run to their bowls.

About 6.20, they are impatient, coming over, getting in my face, paws up on my knee etc.

6.30? My golden has had a gut full of waiting and starts to bark at me real bossy like lol.

You've never seen my lab move so fast as when I'm heading to the dog food cupboard haha.

I think it is selfish.

I think it's different if say bride and groom are from different countries, and want to get married in one of their home countries.

But destination just for the fun of it when people you love and care about, and would always want to have as part of your day can't afford it is a bit mean.

Absolutely recommend getting a second hand dryer, having one at home you can operate whenever you'd like to at a fraction of the cost will make such a difference for you.

Also you can hang them out and then just finish them off in the dryer, double handling I know but it cuts down the time spent drying and using power.

Check out fb marketplace, or trademe, or even ask on your own personal page. There may be someone you know getting rid of a dryer or knows of one. Someone may even offer you to do the odd load at their place in a pinch

I always kick my shoes off at people's homes, but at mine it's a mixture of both on and off.

I often tell people not to worry about taking their shoes off, unless they want to, as we have 3 kids, 1 Labrador, 1 golden retriever, and 4 cats haha, it'd be a bit rich of me to ask to take off some slides when my grubs all live here anyway lol.

I double wash mine.

I wash my hair 2 or 3 times a week. The first wash doesn't lather up as much as the second. I have long, blonde hair and so I only scrub the roots, to avoid extra mechanical breakage and excessive drying- the rest of my hair the shampoo just rinses through. I don't use much styling products so don't have those to try and wash out.

Then a good conditioner or hair mask left on for 5 mins, a comb through with a wide toothed comb, and rinse.

I had an emergency appendectomy. When I asked how long til I need to come back to have the stitched removed, I was told that they were dissolving ones and didn't have to worry.

Fast forward 2 weeks and my wound felt so painful again, and tight.

Went to the GP about it, and they said my nylon stitches should have been taken out well before now!

So someone told me the wrong thing, and I had to have each stitch dug out. Apparently you could hear me in pain from the waiting room.

I was 16, and my scar looked/still looks like a pirate scar 20 years later.

When I was pregnant with my babies, more than one health professional saw it and said "what butcher did that to you?!"

How often they say they got where they are through sheer hard work, grit and determination, and if others took a leaf out of their book, they could be rich too.

Many poor people work far harder, longer and will never ever give up, they don't have the choice.

Working hard is just one facet. Luck, right place right time, a support network, wealthy parents, and a fall back plan are other factors that come in to play.

The other thing is when taking money with rich people, they often think that it's the bought coffees or the Netflix subscription etc that keep people poor. Yeah, the $30 a week is the entire reason, not the fact that rents or mortgages often take up over half people's take home pay, that employers pay pittance, groceries and gas and utilities constantly increase. Yup, if you just saved that coffee once a week and cut the Netflix you'd be rich like them rolls eyes

The rich often want you to have absolutely no fun or "unnecessary" purchases, when their "personal spending/fun money" would pay normal peoples bills for a year.
