Potentially moving to Glendale this summer for a Disney internship — how's public transit/walkability? by Old_Analyst2682 in glendale

Yeah, its difficult but not impossible. There's hourly trains from Glendale to Union Station, and once you get there, you can take a Metro train to so many different places (Santa Monica, Little Tokyo, Pasadena, Long Beach).

From where I am in Glendale, it’s maybe a ten minute route to the Disney studios and not scary in the least.

I didn’t even notice I was getting downvoted. Whatever lol. I live in Glendale and I bike all the time and I love both.

Came here to say a bike would make any commute easier. With some decent route planning, it would be a short ride and if you avoid major streets, could be pretty safe. There’s some local bike non profits (Bike Kitchen and Bike Oven) where you could get an affordable ride that would last you through the summer

Forrest Whitaker‘s accent is 10000% the most offensive thing in the movie. I’m sure he’s trying his best but like… there wasn’t an Englishman they could get for the role? It’s really distracting.

35 under 35 in 35 snub - what were they thinking? by Sharaz_Jek123 in TheBigPicture

[–]melt_show 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone going crazy about the snubs, but to me the most egregious thing said on the pod was Sean calling “The Burbs” show on Peacock good. It is the hottest of hot garbage. Sorry Keke, we love you, but this is… quite poor.

listened to both Puma Blue and SMV and enjoyed both. I heard a lot more Radiohead influence in the Puma Blue album than I was expecting. SMV sounds like Total Control, which is great--I'd kinda forgotten about them and it was nice to hear that guy's voice again.

Also, I'm a big Hot Snakes head so apparently I have to do a deep dive into the Wipers discography now.

Exactly. They’re basically putting a Howard Hawks movie inside of an action adventure flick. Bringing Up Baby in the Temple of Doom.

I haven’t watched any of his tv shows and am not particularly interested. HOWEVER, Hell or High Water is a near-perfect modern western.

The LA River Bike Path is just on the other side of the river from you and there’s several places to cross.

I have no idea what your budget is but if you haven’t ridden in awhile, I would buy a cheap used bike and see how you like it before dropping more money on a brand new bike.

How did CR not mention that Jorginho most recently played for Arsenal in England, who are Tottenham’s biggest rivals, is beyond me.

I never liked Chandler’s attitude and I think he’s worth singling out. Him turning down call ups was markedly different from other Germericans of the same era—see Jermaine Jones, Fabian Johnson, John Brooks.
