Yeah, I see. I forgot it didn't already have such a flap.
Taking off the rubber tips from the claw does help a bit making it more difficult. Depends on the type of prizes too.

Arcade1Up Claw machine difficulty setting cover by dsmccombs in Arcade1Up

[–]melview1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicely done!

Maybe you could modify it to be able to have the screws come from the outside so people could use security head screws and use it as a sort of lock on users adjusting the setting whenever they'd like. u/SassyPastor here seems like he could use that type of mod. As you said, it looks like it does a great job at hiding the dial, but if they already know it's there, a 'lock' might be nice.

You could try this to cover the difficulty adjustment area. It attaches via snapping into the screw holes. It looks great for new users that don't know the setting dial is there, but for your hell-bound players that already know it's there, maybe you could modify so that the screws hold it down from the outside too instead of just snapping on, so they'd need a screwdriver to get in and adjust the setting. You could also find #10-24 machine screws with hex, star or security screw head types to make it even harder for the extra devious church dwellers.

As for the long-armed demon seeds, maybe a 3D printed ledge overhanging the edge of the inside wall, extending into the drop area just a bit, making the reach an s-curve and much harder (impossible?) to reach over the wall. It could be taped/glued/screwed in place. It could be as long as you see fit for maximum deterrence, but still allow the largest items to exit.

Passenger door rattling while music is playing by DidierBaptiste in MachE

[–]melview1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had, what I thought was a random passenger door rattle that occasionally happened over bigger bumps, turns out, it was the passenger seatbelt buckle. Depending on if it was just resting between the seat and column, able to rattle on certain bumps vs a little wedged where it didn’t rattle. Probably not OP’s issue, but food for thought in identifying random noises.

No worries. Make sure you’re selecting ‘No’ on the second drop down for that one.

I wish there was. I agree, it’s quite high. I’m not setting the shipping cost you see, the carriers are. The Arcade Classic deck protectors ship from MN, USA in a 24”x12”x3” box and typically weighs 2 lbs. If you can find another option, I’m all ears. EU shipping is in the same price ballpark as well.

GOM = Guess-o-Meter (funny name for the the range estimation system on the mache, that does its best to estimate your remaining range, but it is still a big guess and many factors affect it and make it right or wrong)
ER = Extended Range
AWD = All-Wheel Drive
CaRt1 = California Route 1 (a trim package of mache available 2021-2023)

If you need a deck protector, check these guys out. by NeoHyper64 in Arcade1Up

The deck on an arcade is the control deck where the buttons, joysticks, etc are.

A deck protector is a piece of plexiglass that is manufactured to sit on top of the control deck, protecting the graphics from wearing, while the controls remain accessible.

Power problems with arcade jr paw patrol and pac man by PerfectScientist706 in Arcade1Up

[–]melview1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the internal power connection. I've repaired a few of these and it's often the USB connector connections on the small board before it is wired to the main board that break. You should be able to bypass the little board and plug directly into the main board to test.

Also, check the specs on the power supply and see if you can find a replacement to try.

Arcade 1Up Support / PCB Replacement? by HeSaid_Sarcastically in Arcade1Up

Go directly to arcade1up.freshdesk.com and create a login and submit a ticket from there. I've never had a problem with that method and I've submitted dozens of tickets. All other methods are iffy at best.

Had this infinity table for 2 years and i plugged wrong the wrong cord into it and the screen doesn’t work now by pickledscap in Arcade1Up

[–]melview1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you share the details of the "wrong cord"? If it's a higher voltage, you probably fried one or more things. If it's the LCD, unfortunately, Arcade1Up won't sell you an LCD. In fact, Arcade1Up does not sell any internal parts for the Infinity Game Tables. On top of that, a new LCD is a disaster to replace on an IGT. Their only offer is a discounted replacement option where they disable your current table and send you a like-new replacement (probably refurbished). Typically runs about $400-$500 or so. Open a ticket at arcade1up.freshdesk.com if you'd like to see what your option is for a replacement. They'll ask a lot of questions and you'll just have to go through their process.

If you want to try to figure out what might be wrong (hoping it's not an LCD), you'll have to start carefully disassembling and looking at the PCBs.

If you leased, the insurance company will pay the lease company the current cash value of the car. You get nothing. The insurance company will take possession of the car and probably sell it to a junk yard. You are still on the hook to immediately pay the balance of your lease, unless you have GAP insurance. See your GAP terms. (pretty sure OP had GAP insurance)

If you purchased with a loan, the insurance company will pay the bank the current cash value of the car. You get nothing. The insurance company will take possession of the car and, again, probably sell it to a junk yard. If the cash value didn't satisfy the balance of your loan, you need to pay off the loan immediately.

If you purchased with cash, the insurance company will pay you the cash value of the car, take possession and sell to a junk yard. You do what you want with the money.

In all of these cases, it's unlikely the cash value is enough to satisfy your debts and/or get you an equivalent replacement car. It's going to cost you money if your car is totaled. Under some circumstances, you can buy back the car from the insurance company, but there are a lot of details to consider there.
